A day after the White House announced that it would scrap a planned bilateral meeting with Vladimir Putin, the Russian president sent well-wishes to former President George W. Bush via telegram following his heart surgery. Russian media outlets were told about it promptly, and the news quickly spread.
The move is already being seen as a veiled slap at Obama, whose frosty posture toward the Kremlin is a marked contrast from the congenial reception Putin received from the Bush administration.
'It may have been coincidence that the Kremlin released details of the telegram a day after Barack Obama pulled out of a planned summit with Putin,' a Reuters report said, 'but little is left to chance in Russian politics.' on Facebook

Not too veiled!
I never in my wildest dreams thought I would like the tyrant in charge of russia better than the would-be tyrant of the US!
Isn’t that the sad truth?!
Just think, Putin may come to us in a couple of years with a reset button of his own.
No, it aint’. It’s a subtle one, though.
Why is Putin a “tyrant”?
Was he not truly elected? Granted there probably are election shenanigans in Russia, it’s the same here, as well.
Really...they need to ask this question?
There is the recollection of one Peter Townsend (The Who) when working aliong-side Jimi Hendricks in a neighboring London studio. Hendricks just simply made his guitar go through several “tricks” that Townsend could not reproduce and Peter says, the message was...don’t f*** with me because I (Jimi) am levels better than you. Townsend was severly humbled.
The lesson: Putin does socialism/communism on a levels so far above Obamugabe that he cannot compete. Obamugabe has street thugs to apply rules, Putin has the Russian treasury.
But when it comes down to it, at least with Putin, you might not like him or trust him, but at least there is something to respect in his leadership of his country and his standing as a leader on the worlds stage.
Compare that with Zero.
Veil shmail...BHO needs a round house.
Putin doesn’t need to “veil” his contempt for The Punk.
He dis-respects The Punk out in the open every chance he gets.
And The Punk retaliates by throwing a Hissy-Fit.
You know....if Putin were really brilliant at this point...he’d declare that he needs a break, and does a 10-day trip to the US....avoiding Washington DC entirely.
He’d stop off on some cattle ranch in Texas....talk oil, natural gas and beef with a dozen ranchers. Then he’d stop and pose for pictures while he and his entourage travels by SUV across NM and AZ...stopping off at the Grand Canyon and chatting with Japanese tourists.
He’d pop into Vegas....have dinner one evening with a dozen folks from New Jersey. Then end the trip with stop in LA and do a Jay Leno interview...except not on the fancy stage, but in Jay’s five-star garage. The two would talk transmissions, nuke weapons, and Ford pick-ups.
Overnight, Putin would be a major success and be the most recognized guy in America.
But for sissy boy’s hissy fit, Putin’s telegram to Bush would likely have received very little notice. And it is the typical sort of message sent between two men in their respective positions. However, the fact that it is being played up in Russia is clearly a slap at 0bama. The message is “Remember that Bush guy? He was a leader we respected. The current guy? Not so much.”
It appears that the leader of Russia would prefer dealing with a Republican President rather than a democrat one. But make no mistake, I think Putin is perfectly happy with showing up the incompetent narcissist at every opportunity. Hey, everyone needs a hobby for fun.
Nice move, Vlad!
Please don’t slap our President (veiled or otherwise)...
..he’ll cry.
Putin’s disdain for our girly man president is obvious.
He would fit in well on this forum, at least in that department.
Our mom jeans wearing pretender is a major setback for our country.
