I thought maybe it was a sobriety thing because Jim might have a rule that you have to take a drink for every story you actually read before commenting on. ;-)

My mother in law told me a similar story. When my husband was 6 years old he was hit by a car. He was in a coma in the hospital, it was 3 weeks since the accident and he had not awakened. She was sitting beside his bed when an old woman came into the room. After a short conversation she told my m-i-l not to worry, her son was going to be alright.
Soon after old woman left he woke up from the coma. After calling for the nurses my m-i-l went looking for the old woman so she could tell her she was correct.
My m-i-l thought she was probably visiting someone in another room but she could not find her or anyone who had seen her.

The priest that appeared had anointing oils, anointed Katie, got everyone calmed down and then told them that their tools would work and they could rescue her from the tangled car.
Then he mysteriously disappeared, just as he mysteriously appeared inside a blocked off zone.
He doesn’t show up in any photographs either; in other words, it was an angel.

Thanks for the ping. Yes, there are several good stories in this thread, and especially post # 31. Some human beings do continue to serve as angels after they die.

I saw something once...to help me believe it was there I got my woman to come see...neither one of us knows how long we were there.

After reading the link you posted, I am more convinced the priest’s actions calmed her more which slowed the bleeding as her vital signs got better after the priest was there. Her vital signs were failing due to blood loss. Also, this report says she had a lacerated liver so she was bleeding internally from that and from the broken leg bones and the broken ribs.

Re Post #31: Something which I had not really focused on until this morning. “Ray” looked like he was about seventy years old, with a high degree of strength and vitality. What first drew my attention to “Ray” was his unusual manner of dress. He looked like he had stepped from the pages of a Sears Roebuck catalog circa 1960. He wore a flannel shirt buttoned to the neck. Khakis worn high at the waist, no break, with sharp creases. He had white socks and grey suede Hush Puppies. All topped by a stiff, thick, flattop haircut in...silvery white hair.

Interesting thing about encounters with angels,...unless one is in fellowship, AND has regenerated portions of their human spirit and soul to discern their manifestation, they aren’t always obvious in a worldly perspective.

Interesting thing happened today. I go an email that this gal is a summer intern for an organization that do volunteer board work for. I was just in Jefferson City last month, and met her briefly. Small world sometimes.

No. Human beings are never angels. That is like saying human beings become giraffes. Two entirely different sets of persons made by God. Humans are a little lower than angels in His Creation, but will be placed over the angels in the future.

Although human beings are not angels, they can and should become as-angels, and continue to serve as God's angels do. Jesus said, "The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage, but those who are accounted worthy to attain to that age and to the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage, for they cannot die any more, because they are equal-to-angels [one word in Greek, isaggelos, which should be translated as-angels] and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection."(Luke 20:34-36)

By reason and study of the evidence, you will come to know the real truth. This describes soulish activity, but fails to include the work of the spirit. The anthropology of man is body, soul, and spirit. For the unbeliever is unable to discern spiritual things, because he lacks a living human spirit. That is only provided by God Himself and only upon the exercise of faith alone in Christ alone by God the Holy Spirit.
