It seems some liberals are having a collective meltdown over an online conservative protest called "Facebook Blackout."
Facebook has established a pattern of silencing Conservative posters and pages so, on August 24 and 25th, we are going to grant them their wish. Silence from out side.
Any advertising dollars that they lose will be their lesson.
>>I am so ahead of the curve. I closed my Facebook account last week.<<
I am quite certain that I am ahead of you. I have never considered opening a FB account and don’t have any plans to open one in the future.
Got ya...
Pretty sure it is FB and not Tweeeeter.
It is where you have friends and then you get mad at them and they are not your friends but they are someone elses friend that you are friends with
Got you beat. I never opened a facebook account.
Seems the market needs a new place for conservatives who like using something like facebook, so invent a new version and draw use away from them if they don’t serve the customer.
Public media, yes. Facebook? No.
I have an obviously phony name and no profile or photo on facebook. I used it twice, I think. Once to make fun of someone who was stupid.
Anyway, I hear the yutes are abandoning facebook since the old folks started using it.
It is not a job interviewers place to nose around an applicant's personal life, worry about their friends or their likes. Sounds like someone has a little power trip going on.
Getting "modern" is against Freeper code of conduct. Takes time away from stocking ort basement with canned food and ammo.

No power trip at all. If an idiot is dumb enough to put it out in the public domain and they’re being considered for a job where good judgment s needed its completely relevant.
This kind of protest will have NO effect.
Giving up FB for two days? Statistical noise.
Start hanging “impeach Obama” from overpasses and you’ll make some meaningful progress.
FB has never silenced me, although some liberals have tried flaming me and some have unfriended me. :)
But, I’ve been blogging since before there was an internet. I delight in annoying and infuriating the facebook liberals. they just can’t handle the truth.
Thank you!
See my post at 60.
I heard that the young’uns are abandoning facebook for twitter, because they think we geezers are taking over facebook, and they think we don’t know how to use it properly.
Ditto bump, booyah to you.
I've personally boycotted social media as a privacy and security hazard from the jump. I don't trust those guys. What can you say, e.g., about a guy who got his start screwing three or four of his co-venturers? How far would Compaq have gone if those guys had done that? Hewlett and Packard?
Facebook has received silence from me 24x7x365 ever since I realized how evil they are.
I predict FB will die out in a few years, replaced by something else.
Good for you!
Just realize that all your stuff is still there and you have no way to permanently delete it. Another reason I say FB is evil. Trying to leave FB is like the Hotel California: you can check out, but you can never leave.
You didn’t have to get that off twitchy. Twitchy doesn’t publish original news.

Twitchy is an aggregator, just like FR and Drudge.
I’m aware of that, but the news originally started with her Tweet. As many on this thread have indicated their disdain for social media, I posted the Twitchy link for thier convenience. My original point is that we conservatives need to use this as a means of communication, because the MSM simply will not report important issues.
Kind of funny to see them scream and shout over something that probably will not even faze Facebook... really, conservatives do have liberals by the pointy tail and horns if they can get this sort of reaction by just talking about it.
Hey, go ahead and do it. Not in a malicious spirit. And Facebook is a marvelous conduit for the gospel, as it turns out... I don’t want to see that gone. Perhaps a gospel day?
