Oh, just a bit of fun this evening. President Obama was talking military issues at Camp Pendleton today when he referenced his wifes and Dr. Jill Bidens work on behalf of military families, only he couldnt remember one of their names. Better Jill than Michelle, I suppose:
And, on Jay Lenos show last night, the president showed a great interest in deepening the nations ports, but not a lot of geographical aptitude.
If we dont deepen our ports all along the Gulf places like Charleston, South Carolina, or Savannah, Georgia, or Jacksonville, Florida if we dont do that, those ships are going to go someplace else. And well lose jobs. Businesses wont locate here.
Yes, one could assume for the president that he meant along the Gulf AND places like Charleston
Savannah
Jacksonville, none of which are on the Gulf of Mexico, just as we all would have assumed thats what George W. Bush meant in a moment of misspeaking, right?

Excluding the medical profession, but outside of a campus , the only place I’ve seen folks cling to the title “doctor” due to the awarding of a academic doctorate are in religious ministry and in politics. “Reverends” who should be satisfied with that stilted title if they’re into titles, also love to be “Dr.” And the really weird ones like “Reverend Doctor”. Bleagghhh.
I have a JD and I don’t insist people call me doctor or esquire
I totally agree
Oh for the love of PETE!
What a tool. I’ve known a number of PhDs socially and none of them used the Dr. in their name. Heck I knew one guy who was a friend of my parents for years. I knew he was smart and made good money but had no idea he had a PhD in Nuclear Physics until my father told me.
really.
People with class don’t crow and brag and act obnoxious
“Don’t you know who I am?”
“I personally believe the U.S. American President is unable to do so because, uh, some, uh...Presidents out there in our nation don’t have maps, and, uh, I believe that our education like such as Charleston and, uh, the Jacksonville everywhere like, such as and...I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., err, uh, should help the US President so we will be able to build up our future for our...
Exactly. What W used to refer to as "the soft bigotry of low expectations."
I have long contended the race hustlers don't want just "equal." They want "special."
I have a similar problem today. I share a first and last name with a local high school science teacher. I get calls from students and parents. The best I can offer is that I can help them with the answer, but I can't do a thing about the school work. You'll have to call the teacher.
How many body doubles does it take to replace a dead man? He’s on crack, but Obama’s on ice.
