Mountain goat and lion found dead on a closed road in Glacier National park. It seems they both fell to their deaths when the cougar attacked the goat far up on the cliffs out of sight and to the right. (Not sure where to post this, but I think it was is interesting)

I couldn’t find a date or a link. I would have expected another story from a local paper, but the last comment was three days ago, so I figured it was from this winter.

OHMYGAWD, that’s brutal. But, that’s nature and it’s all they know.

If only those creeps hadn’t built a road in the middle of the pristine wilderness these two of God’s creatures would still be walking the earth.
OK.... For the low info voters.... /s

Friend of mine lost her oscar (large aquarium fish) and her parakeet on the same day. She had neglected to put the tank cover on, and while she was out, the budgie apparently swooped low over the fish tank. Oscar saw LUNCH and lunged upward. He got hold of the bird (and ultimately managed to drown it) but it fought him and inflicted severe wounds. When she came home, she found them both dead in the tank.

Somewhere, there’s a flock of ravens that was the real winner of this contest.

A group of us came across a foot wide blood streaked trail in the Rockies that went on for at least half a mile. Either something was dragging a bloody kill or Dexter is getting sloppy.
It was eye opening for the kids. Had to be one big cat. We impressed that point on the kids.

"I should have looked at the photos first. This is not the one from several years back." Maybe this is not the rarity I thought it was.
