I’m glad the “back of the line” language gets used so often, because you can instantly know that whoever uses it is flagrantly, deliberately lying.

Ok, fine. Let’s invade Mexico then. take the place over. if they can come and go as they please anyway, we may as well own the place.
We can keep the fence they have between them and Guatemala.

"We don't have control of our border," said Ryan. "We don't know who is coming and going in this country. We need real border enforcement and that means we really don't trust the administration with discretion in this area. So we need a border enforcement law, first and foremost, that cannot be voided.
Then, pass a law mandating border enforcement with existing laws.
Prove you [government] can manage that and the other things could follow. Until you [government] prove you can do that, all else is the same meaningless rhetoric we have heard since the 1980s immigration bill.
Otherwise, WE DON'T TRUST YOU [government].

How many different passports do they get before they earn double-probation?

One more thing to consider with this nonsense: there has been a bit of noise now about raising the minimum wage, and by quite a bit. Can anyone not see a larger horde of people zooming for the borders here once they believe they will be making a minimum of $15 per hour? Of course they don’t realize, or care, that this will raise prices so the net affect will be zero but it will look good to the insanely stupid. Then again, Barackanomics will probably kick in and he will just freeze prices and not understand why there is nothing to buy and unemployment is 99%.

I believe that immigration needs to be completely shut down until the border with Mexico is mined or otherwise made impassable. Our central socialist government is so incompetent that its rendered incapable of administering a proper immigration policy.
They can't/won't do that because that would shut down the free flow of commerce. So what if that 'commerce' includes sex trafficking, drug trafficking, etc. Those are big business and you can bet there are payoffs at high levels.
It isn't so much about incompetence, it is about 'commerce' and funding those off-shore bank accounts of officials at many levels.

That’s a lot of work for what is still amnesty, Ryan.
Close the border first, close the border now. Make us a nation that respects the rule of law again.

Like congress and their staff having to participate in ObamaCare just like the rest of us?
Yeah, right.

As my tagline says, giving them citizenship while allowing them (ilegals) to live and work here is pushing them to the front of the line, so Rubio and Ryan are outright lying. This song and dance seems to be aimed at poorly informed constituents (and congresscritters who want to pretend that they are "against amnesty" of course).

The illegal aliens have never been here legally...
They have not ever earned immigration or a green card or citizenship
I’ve never been to Harvard...
Let’s see what Ryan has to say...

No dice, not unless it’s double secret probation.

With the Democrats in power the rule of law has been suspended. All laws are being selectively enforced and used as tools to advance a political agenda.
The best thing the Republicans can do on immigration is dig in their heels and stop any legislation from moving forward.
And we can hope and pray that Americans will come to their senses for the next two federal elections.

“ Back in 2007 Bush, McCain, Tony Snowe all used those same argument as Ryan/Rubio are now, that paying a fine (back taxes???) and some probation period magically made a Green card and citizenship into something other than amnesty.
But clearly if they get to still stay here and get citizenship or even a green card that is a jump ahead.
Those waiting in other countries the legal way will be losing out to them. they wont be getting EITC and instate tuition discounts and minority Affirm Action status and on., while outside the country.
Now it is true that family members get a jump ahead too under the current system. That is a flaw.

Every politician is playing this deceitful game with us.
If any criminal trespasser is allowed to stay in this country they must first be charged with the very first crime they committed and that was violating our sovereign borders. It is a felony and our politicians are making sure these sneak thieves are never charged with the proper crime.
WHY? Obvious, if they were charged for the crime they committed they could not vote.
ANY politician or government official who took an oath to support the US Constitution and allows any of these criminal trespassers to remain without being charged with that crime, must be, at bare minimum, removed from office.
Actually I would prefer to see some serious jail time for any government official who violates their oath to the Constitution.

RE :”

just like laws can turn two men committing sodomy magically into ‘marriage;’, same as our Moms and Dads

Bottom line is our gub’mint refuses to enforce current immigration laws now and sure as hell won’t enforce any amnesty laws later.
