Need to say more??
RIP Middle Class, thanks Obama.
ahh, yes....Port Clinton. Where the Water is always White and there are plenty of Babes on the Beach!
How’s those low tariffs and off-shoring working for ya now?
How’s those low tariffs and off-shoring working for ya now?
Good walleye fishing too.
Isn’t it ironic. The more socialistic the country gets, the more it resembles what the socialists in control claim it used to be before they gained control.
With each passing day, I am more and more in ‘Hunker Down Mode.’
PLEASE let this nightmare end!
Obama has done *** zero *** to improve this situation, but the problem goes back a lot further than that; and most everyone shares a piece of the blame.
Ross Perot was right - that ‘giant sucking sound’ of jobs being moved offshore that he tried to warn America about. Not sure that he, or anyone else, has a plan to solve that problem. but at least he was right in predicting it.
Companies, CEO’s and shareholders want to maximize profits and salaries for themselves, and consumers want to pay the absolute least they can for anything and everything..the solution? Move the jobs offshore and make everyone happy in the short run. Profits go up, costs to consumers go down - until everyone realizes that nobody has a job anymore and they can’t afford all that Chinese made crap anymore.
What has changed since the 1950s?
Massive government
Public unions
Higher and higher taxes
Pork, pork and more pork
More and more government regulations
An out of control tort system
Waves and waves of illegal immigration
God kicked out of the schools
Walls Street and banks bailout out by the taxpayer
and I could go on and on...
this is all the result of leftism and progressivism.
It creates a system where everyone is a supplicant to, or client of, government. It all begins with the Federal Reserve, and the crony-capitalist, government-backed banking system, who takes the first, and biggest, cut.
If you have the smarts and are connected, or know how to work they system, you succeed. If you do not, then you do not succeed. Its the same thing that happened in the Soviet Union, China and Eastern Europe.
The mafia would be proud of jealous of our government..
You can sum it all by saying wealth transfer from the working to non-working, expansion of the police state, and restrictions on individual freedom
Why are we allowing our “representatives” in congress to sit back and not represent our views by taking action through impeachment, defunding, etc?
Well we're living here in Allentown
And they're closing all the factories down
Out in Bethlehem they're killing time
Filling out forms
Standing in line.
Well our fathers fought the Second World War
Spent their weekends on the Jersey Shore
Met our mothers at the USO
Asked them to dance
Danced with them slow
And we're living here in Allentown.
But the restlessness was handed down
And it's getting very hard to stay
Well we're waiting here in Allentown
For the Pennsylvania we never found
For the promises our teachers gave
If we worked hard
If we behaved.
So the graduations hang on the wall
But they never really helped us at all
No they never taught us what was real
Iron and coke,
Chromium steel.
And we're waiting here in Allentown.
But they've taken all the coal from the ground
And the union people crawled away
Every child had a pretty good shot
To get at least as far as their old man got.
but something happened on the way to that place
They threw an American flag in our face, oh oh oh.
Well I'm living here in Allentown
And it's hard to keep a good man down.
But I won't be getting up tody
And it's getting very hard to stay.
And we're living here in Allentown.
Sorry for the diversion but your title reminded me of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKTG01epOMg
If there was an automotive factory anywhere around Port Clinton I’ll be damned if I know where.
Port Clinton is a resort town. It’s beach cottages and motels, and lots of fishing boat charters. It’s numerous state parks and bars on the beach.
I have no idea what this guy is talking about.
