In a new lawsuit, Angel Dobbs and her niece Ashley Dobbs, of Irving Texas, say they were searched inside their underwear by female Texas Trooper, Kelley Helleson, after a routine traffic stop in Dallas in July. The trooper who pulled them over, David Farrell, says on tape he saw them throw a cigarette butt out the window and smelled marijuana when he pulled them over. No drugs were found and they were released with a warning. The cousins say the trooper who performed the search used the same pair of gloves on both women. The cousins are now suing the Department of Public Safety.

Lesson learned?!!
WOW.
Is your tongue sore yet from boot-licking?
The tossing of a cigarette butt merits a modest littering fine AND NOTHING MORE.
Two Americans are assaulted by police officers and it doesn’t bother you?
The War on Drugs has been nothing more than the most often used and useful justification to intimidate and rob American citizens of possessions and freedom;now our leaders also use the War on Terror in the same way.
Both Wars were started by Republican presidents as fatally flawed answers to real problems, and embraced by statists of both parties.
Freedom for the peasants is just so damn inconvenient for the ruling class.
Neither of those officers should ever be allowed any government job again. And I would give both officers a stern warning to behave better in the future as they were being escorted out the door after serving a year in jail.
They should be criminally prosecuted.
I can see it when I am directly behind someone, especially when the SOB throws it out the window the the little fireball comes straight at me. Even in my smoking days I never threw a cigarette out the window. It’s stupid and dangerous.
Yes it does bother me. I said it was unwarranted. They don't litter again. No problem. The officers don't unnecessarily harass motorists again. No problem. Both were in the wrong. I live on a road in which motorists routinely toss their trash for yours truly to pick up. So I don't care for either behavior.
The male cop made his mind up with a conjured 'pretext" of "I smell marijuana", before he even pulled these 2 women over. These cops are no better than the jerk who imprisoned and raped those little girls. No, they did not use steel chains to control these women, but they did use fear and intimidation to control them, raped them, then, finding nothing, they said the women could leave.
So rape = littering. Nice.
I smell marijuana.....pretext......We will rape these two....after raping.....you may go. Sounds like BillClinton raping Wanita Brodderick and then tell her to put some ice on it. How magnanamous.
Funny story... a coworker had taken up smoking cigars when he was diagnosed with throat polyps (he was hopelessly addicted to liquor, tobacco, and other illicit substances).
One night he was driving down the road in his F-250 worktruck with a Reading truck body and tossed a cigar butt out the window, oblivious to the fact that a NJ State trooper was right behind him. The cigar literally bounced off the trooper’s windshield. The lights went right on and he got pulled over... my coworker was technically drunk... but as a “functioning alcoholic”, having half a fifth of whiskey in him was about the equivalent of having a Grape Nehi.
He didn’t get a DUI, but did get a summons for “Throwing a hazardous object from a moving vehicle”.
The take-away quotable quote from the Trooper was when he initially walked up to the window and said, “What’s the matter? Doesn’t that Big Red Jalopy have an ashtray?”
To this day, we still call that truck “The Red Jalopy”.
“What strikes me in this thread is the casual chit-chat and light-hearted repartee about “littering”, “cousins”, “two f’s” in “graphic”, etc.......
I was thinking the exact same thing. A “ticket” offense that allows for an unsanitary, degrading, finger-rape of our Fourth Amendment on a public road. Scary posts from FREEpers.
Mark 1:14- "Where are you going/" Why are you going there?" Does that have anything to do with enforcing the law?
Mark 1:50sec-"I smell the odor of marijuana and am going to search the car." Subjective pretext to allow trouper Farrell to get off on watching a government sanctioned rape. Nice. I just viewed on You Tube state troupers in Brazoria county stop 2 black females for throwing out trash. Then...guess what...the trouper "smelled marijuana"...and found a butt of a marijuana cigarette....And guess what....after finding the marijuana they called for a cavity search....One of the women was crying as she was penetrated by the examining trouper. Looks like this is training coming from the top.
Mark 2:29 sec- "Both of these women are acting weird, especially the driver." Did you think she was acting weird. She sounded 100% compliant to me. But, the plan to rape had already been begun. That bastard was going through with it.
Then the threat....Mark 1"30 sec.-...."are there any drugs....and don't lie to me. It will go a lot better for you if you tell me the truth". Now, coming from a cop, that is very intimidating. Everyone this prick has arrested and or convicted should get a judicial review of their case
Mark 5:00 sec.-"We will chalk it up to daily smoking in the car, and you may go."
If these cops get away with it, if the state troupers training manual is the impetus....the state of Texas should pay big-time. Let's just break it down...How much for your mother, sister wife to be anally raped.....what is it worth for your daughter to be raped in full sight along side the highway by pervert law enforcement officers? What is the price for taking a gloved finger....jamming it up a woman's rectum ....then... whith the same giove....placing it inside the vaginal vault of the second......Infection.....fear of infection...What is the price for those actions What is the legal formula. Cystitis, vagininitus, herpes, gonorrhea, worry, anxiety of STDs,......How do we arrive at parity?
No, these two pricks should go to prison and have about 15 years to think about what they did. .
I didn’t watch the video. Rape is a felony. So no I am not equating the two.
The war on drugs was started because the punks in the sixties popularized drug usage. I think of all the lives ended and/or wasted because these punks wanted to rebel against society. Today even elementary school kids are using the stuff. There were over nine hundred in my high school graduating class and I cannot remember anyone who even knew what drugs were. Those punks completely changed our culture and not for the better either. They gave us drugs, casual sex, shacking up instead of marriage, disrespect for our founders and our country.
But you're satisfied these women will never litter again....;Yes!!!The learned their lesson....it took a raping for that to happen,....but you OK with that. Sheesh!!.

The Department of Public Safety; spreading diseases that the people haven't gotten around to spreading on their own.
You won't find anyone on this site in more agreement with you than me. It seems to me that what you're noticing on this thread is what the 'drug war', which is actually just a thinly veiled war on your average citizen and his rights than anything else, has come to. THIS is the inevitable result.
Are you people paying attention yet?
Apparently it does to several on this thread.
They were searching for drugs (Pot) not cigarettes.

Stoopit pigs......left their Throw Down Baggie somewhere.
(Happens more often than you could imagine)
And the parents of those punks were the “greatest generation”. Apparently they couldn’t or didn’t instill the “traditional American” values of God,honest work, monogamous sex, etc.
I will flat state that you are very wrong. I have seen this way too many times and it is much easier to spot at night what with the sparks and all. I try to resort to a small bit of public humiliation of the drivers by calling them out on CB when I see a trucker do this. I have never had one try to defend their self.
Sometimes no matter what parents do, the kids succumb to peer pressure. These punks were the dumbest generation in spite of their parents. I recommend you google and read the article, “Forty Years After the Death of a Party.” That gives you a good description of these punks. I was around then and saw it happen.
