Scandal: The former commander of special operations in North Africa says he, like our president, was incommunicado during the Benghazi attack. We may soon hear from the hero who survived 20 hours waiting for help.
During the second wave of attacks on Benghazi, diplomatic security agent David Ubben was on the roof of the CIA annex with two former Navy SEALS. Eventually, several rounds of mortar attacks found their mark, killing Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty while shredding Ubben's right leg.
Ubben was stuck on that rooftop for 20 hours before help finally arrived. He can tell us and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton "what difference does it make"that help was not sent — at least two American lives. Ubben sustained injuries at Benghazi so severe he's still being treated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Rep. Darrel Issa's House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has tried to interview Ubben as part of its Benghazi scandal investigation, but the State Department has not allowed the meeting, according to Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah.
"While initially they said they would be helpful, pretty quickly they turned that off," Chaffetz reported. "And I had a meeting scheduled to go visit this ... young man and then I was denied." State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki denies Chaffetz's claim, saying State has been fully cooperative.

What can Issa even do if he finds absolutely incontrovertible evidence? NOTHING!
The Democrats know how to run investigations. They wouldn't be clowning around like this.

CIA regularly polygraphs its employees for all sorts of reasons. This is nothing new.
It is terribly frustrating. They would be in mortal danger. I do not recognize my country anymore. How quickly we have moved from freedom to a totalitarian state.
If we’re smart, we’ll have collared enough RATS come 9/11 to sink them in their primaries. Timing is everything.
A bit of distinction is in order. Yes, they do, but as I understand it, it is done at a rate of once a year to once every three years.

..... Nah .... my suspicion is that the answer is no. We will never get to the bottom of what really happened in Benghaziville. What is happening right now in the Intelligence offices is that they are now busy fashioning a disinformational diversionary but plausible sounding cover story for public consumption.
Now that that the public knows that there were previously unknown additional assets on the ground, there will have to be a few sacrificial scapegoats set up to take the fall to make the cover story sound authentic and make the whole thing believable as if the powers that be are actually uncovering a plot that will in all likely hood be a falsity. But as usual the public will be satisfied and the people will move on from that point. Unfortunately there are more than likely other Ops with living breathing assets with families that are at risk at this time that were connected to this botched event that are being protected.
My guess is that the The CIA et-al are protecting some very deep sensitive operations connected to whatever happened in the location. They are now seriously engaged in some very serious CYA.

Has Oliver North commented on this whole debachle yet? When he was testifying during the Iran/Contra days, he had to have a security fence, security for his kids, etc, becasue of threats - NOT threats from civilians.
