Optimistic about WHAT?! They have a horrible job market, high unemployment, high incarceration rates, their own people might kill them, cities that are run by blacks are running aground and burning in place... but they have a black president in the White House and all is well?
I’m sorry I just don’t believe that blacks and Hispanics are so ignorant that they’re resting the entirety of their faith in Obama. I really can’t believe that.

Perception is more important than reality for some people.
I’ll admit I’ve had a sense of doom for some time now. It’s not because I’m naturally unhappy, but I see so much better now where it is the country is heading.
How can the national debt not matter? How can cultural decline not matter? How can the bankruptcy and ruin of a once-great city not matter?
If these people are happy, it’s because they’re ignorant of what is to come.

Of course blacks and Hispanics are more optimistic about their future as they are, together with their fellow coalitionists, conquering America. White America is actively being replaced in almost all institutions, education, business, Media, religion etc. etc. (The coalition cannot conquer science as they need that institution and are in many instances intellectually unable to perform.)However, "Tokens" and "Spokespersons" of the proper ethnicity will be provided. White progressives are actively assisting the conquest stupidly believing they will be favorably treated when the conquest is consolidated.
Due to this conquest the overall quality of life will markedly deteriorate(But readily be explained.) See Zimbabwe, South Africa, Detroit, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Los Angeles etc. etc.

For blacks and Hispanics in universities, their optimism might be warranted. A lot of blacks and Hispanics on the streets might disagree with their assessment. Obamanomics is hurting everyone, but minorities have been hit the worst.

Growing up as a black teen, John Harris III says he wasn't always sure about what he wanted to do with his life. But the 23-year-old, now part of the first generation of college students who saw the nation's first black president elected, points to a newfound sense of purpose for him and other black graduates.Oh, boo-hoo, cry me a river! If all it takes for the black "takers" in this country is the fraudulent election of an ineligible, communist muslim, then they have a lot of growing up to do.
As a white kid growing up I could have cared less what color the president was, I had my own life to worry about and being president was never part of the equation!

One contributory factor to the poll results may be that people who are more informed are more pessimistic, and a higher percentage of whites fall into the category of “more informed”.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Growing up as a black teen, John Harris III says he wasn't always sure about what he wanted to do with his life. But the 23-year-old, now part of the first generation of college students who saw the nation's first black president elected, points to a newfound sense of purpose for him and other black graduates.
A new analysis by the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows many in the black and Hispanic communities share Harris’ optimism. America's minorities are now far more optimistic about their economic future than whites and by the widest margin since at least 1987.
“We feel more independent,” said Harris, a recent graduate of historically black Howard University, who now works to reduce homelessness. “We feel like we're worth more, because we see it every day on the TV, hear it on the radio and are beginning to see it more in our communities.” See ??? Obama is like a security blanket to them
He tells them that they are better off, they believe it.
He tells them that he has their back, they believe it.
He tells them that this is now a better country than it was in 2008, they believe it.
Except I thought the Zimmerman acquittal make it open season on browns and blacks? That's what Sharpton and Harris Perry are saying. Wouldnt you be more negative about your future if you believed that about youself?

They must be eternally optimistic to think that raising the national debt by tens of trillions of dollars is a good thing and that they won’t ever have to pony up “their fair share” of the $$$.

The poll results may have less to do with the economy and more to do shifting demographics and perceived shifting power. As minorities see whites’ percentage of the population dwindling they are optimistic that power will shift to the growing percentage of people of color. Whites are pessimistic for the same reason.

They don't care much about content of character, for obvious reasons.

Pittsburgh PA city schools have a scholarship program for resident students. $10,000 a year for four years to a state school for students who have been city residents since kindergarten. (Rate goes down to $7,500 if a student is a late starter.) It's called the Pittsburgh Promise and covers students with a 2.5 grade point average and 90 percent attendance. For both whites and blacks.
No wonder they feel optimistic. If you live a few miles away outside of the Pittsburgh city jurisdiction, no scholarship.
