So I guess going to a New York McDonalds isnt a good idea right now.
Videographer and conservative blogger Adam Sharp of SharpElbows.net attended one such demonstration and interviewed an SEIU member, easily identifiable as such by his purple shirt.
When asked whether the union member supported the $15 per hour wage increase the McDonalds workers were demanding, he admitted, Im not sure.
He also said he was there to show his support for the workers rather than the company and expressed a fear that, if theyre [the McDonalds employees] pissed off, they could be doing something to that food.
So thats your main concern, is that if they dont get what they want, they might contaminate the food?
The SEIU member shrugged his shoulders and said, I dont know.
Video at the link.
Im not one who hates on McDonalds. You go there, you get what you want at a reasonable price and the product is consistent from coast to coast. Overseas, McDonalds

Fire ‘em. Hire new ones. Problem solved.
Domino’s was really good at one point.
I’ve been told...nothing factual to base this on...that minority fast-food workers, if they can tell the order is for a white, will say, ‘This is for Trayvon’, and spit into the food.
Never worked in a fast-food joint and so don’t know if it is even possible to correlate an order with a customer, but why not spread a little hate and dissension?
The vast majority of the ones “on strike” do not work there. They did this at the Wal-Marts too a little while back.
I have not eaten there in years only. Their profits are down, way down. Fast food used to be cheap and relatively edible. I ate at a Burger King 3 years ago, it was expensive and horrible. Now they are demanding $20 an hour wages?! Good luck with that!
i’m the exact opposite. i have STOPPED eating pizza hut because several years ago they did away with their cheese blend and went to plain mozarella only, and because that wasnt bad enough a couple years ago they changed their pizza sauce. it is sour now. YUK!
so now i won’t touch it. i have the recipe for their pan dough and their cheese blend, so now if i want pizza i make my own.
there is a little family run place in my hometown that i will get pizza from when i go to visit my mom, otherwise i do NOT buy pizza from a any restaurant.
And then sales go down and they lose their jobs. Smart. No wonder they’re flipping burgers.
Where we are the mcd’s are run by a franchise group that insists on good workers, neat appearance, and a tight ship. I know some of the people who work their and frankly, the owners are lucky at all the good employees. And they are known as good employers. Nothing to worry about at these McDs
When I was a kid we used to eat at local places and regional chains... like Grandy’s, Pizza Inn, Crystal’s Pizza (Biggest Pizza Palace in Texas), Ted’s Donuts, Barrel O’ Chicken etc etc
When owners of Ted’s and Barrel O Chicken sold and retired the places really went downhill fast. I haven’t eaten at any of these places in at least a decade.
Yep, sounds about right for this type of organization...UNIONS....Then cry when their jobs are eliminated because of cost and their towns look like battle fields aftermaths.
The local Taco Bell is open to the kitchen too, but that doesn’t mean you can see everything. :p
Glad I don’t eat there....and never will.
This is why I detest unions. Either you give them what they want or they will harm you, someone you love, or your property.
Real nice people.
This SEIU thug should be arrested.
that is a crime
You want him fired? who the H--- are you?
Try their handmade pan pizza (only available in medium).
I got one the other day and had to call back to compliment them.
Then yesterday I got the 3-topping large for 7.99. It was OK, but not luscious like the panbaked.

OMG!! I didn’t know anybody remembered Barrel O’ Chicken but me.
It was my very first job! Believe me..if I had made even $4 an hour I would have considered myself rich.
I did get to take home left over chicken. It was needed at the time. :) But I lost my taste for fried chicken for a very long time.
Moved on to Kip’s Big Boy..I really did think I was rolling in the dough!
