Guess I’ve been out of the loop for a while. I recognized only the names of about 1/8 of the list, and would tolerate listening to just a couple of them.
Love southern gospel and disco. (Have wonderful memories of dancing the nights away to disco in Anchorage in the ‘70s.)
Hate jazz and basically anything ‘80s or later.
Am a geezer.

Thank you, Ma, for preparing the Canteen for today’s activities.
I took the quiz, was bummed when I hardly recognized
any of the groups listed.
Then I scanned the posts
and now don't feel so bad.
Seems I'm not the only one.
Let's just say I was HIGHLY influenced
by Motowon, Rock, and Country growing up.
Our local DC Metroland weather report
~ Today...Generally cloudy.
A stray shower or thunderstorm is possible.
High 83F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph.
~ Tonight... Variable clouds with thunderstorms,
especially late. Low 69F.
Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%.
Going to post and make my rounds.
Got a little time before walk budddy shows up.
Please stay right where you are.
Keep the troops and their families entertained.

We had a great visit yesterday. My sister and I talked about what we were each up to.
We also had a brief rain shower moved through with some thunder and lightning. Looks like we're headed for some hot weather through next week.
