Nice arrangement of that beautiful Beethoven Melody! It is one of the first songs my guitar students learn to play, as a duet with me on bass. We swap the melody back and forth.

Yes, but people don’t know unless i tell them, so they are not being insensitive or anything.

It’s just that I have to answer their interested, cheerful question with an unbelievable bizarre and sad answer. Then they get all embarrassed and don’t know what to say and i feel guilty for even talking about what happened.

There may be those who deem it trite, but this is my favorite choral finale of all time. I had the good fortune to sing it several times with the Oratorio Society of Washington and National Symphony, and, more importantly for me, with the Chancel Choir of Westmoreland Congregational Church under the baton of Sondra Proctor:

It just doesn't get any better than this - the first time I sang this with OSW we finished around 11:00 - I was so pumped I couldn't get to sleep until after 4:00 a.m.

The girl is Jung So-Min, she was famous as the leading actress in a show called Playful Kiss
