BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A man is brutally attacked by a group of teens in Little Italy. Police say four of the attackers are in custody. Three of them are juveniles. ...

The suspects range in age from 16 to 19, but police say because of the brutality of the crime, the minors aren’t being charged lightly.

“The fact that they broke this gentleman’s jaw, the decision was made and they are going to be charged as adults,” said Sgt. Eric Kowalczyk, Baltimore City Police.

Drop the first two, to let them know you mean it, and to prove that there was more than one assailant. The rest will then decide if they really want to risk being the subject of your third shot, and run.

Assuming you might miss a couple shots in the heat of battle (!?), you'd likely need a couple clips to take out more than 10 attackers.

No, when the first one or two go down, screaming or silent, the rest will take off like roaches when the lights come on. But if one or more are armed they may just take cover and return fire, so be aware of behaviors and shoot any who don't appear to be fleeing in panic.

The Baltimore police barely respond to crime, and pretend that they have Absolutely No Idea what is causing the crime wave, unless it might be guns. The State Police are no better. There was a time, though, that ruffians knew better than to cause trouble in Little Italy. I have no idea if it is true, but I remember hearing often when I was young that the mafia protected Little Italy. During the race riots of 1969, Little Italy was not touched.
