Senior military personnel are considering now giving women different military training than men, The Washington Times reports.
The effort was proposed by Massachusetts Democrat Rep. Niki Tsongas at a recent House Armed Services Committee hearing because so far, she says training systems do not “maximize the success of women.”
Though the armed services have promised that combat standards will be the same regardless of gender, senior officers are considering initially separate training systems.
Army Lt. Gen. Howard Bromberg, serving as deputy chief of staff for personnel, considers separate training programs to be more about considering all soldiers as individuals, citing a need to explore how the training process works.
“We’re not looking at it just for the integration of women,” Bromberg said. “We’re looking at it for the total soldier, because just as you have a 110-pound male who may lack some type of physiological capability or physical capability, he or she may both need to be trained differently. We’re trying to expand our understanding of how we train.”(continued)

Someone calls you on your crap attitude towards guys dying in combat, but getting all in a huff about another poster not even talking about your daughter, and you incredibly somehow make it about your daughter to get pissy with him and threaten him.

How would you feel about your own mother, at age 44, being drafted and going off to fight in combat in a foreign country?
Would it make you feel all warm and comfy in the name of ‘fairness’?
Would it make you feel better if she were fighting alongside you, in combat, in the name of fairness?

And the other posters agreed, women in combat is a very very bad culture and society ending thing. Always. Any leadership that would draft my DAUGHTERS and send them to combat is MY ENEMY. Slowly but surely, our nation’s military is being transformed from a fearsome fighting force into a hood ornament.
If there’s a draft and the age goes to 45yrs my HUSBAND will be eligible. I don’t want HIM fighting for this country either. For what? When have we engaged in a war to WIN? The only wars we have had for the past 60 years have been to enrich defense contractors. We haven’t been allowed to actuall WIN a single one. Tens of thousands of good men, dead, and for what purpose? I wouldn’t let my sons, if I had them, fight for this country either.
My beef with the original poster was one I have with a lot of the old guard around here. When the subject of women in combat comes up they immediately cackle and laugh about the draft and women should be forced to the draft like they were. They harbor some fantasy about the combatant deaths being primarly berkeley lesbodykes who deserve it for their unflagging support of feminism.
It won’t be that. If women are pushed into combat, with inferior training (which is what this separate training will amount to) there WILL be a draft eventually. The elites just won’t be able to help themselves. And the combat assignments will be just as fair and unbiased as the IRS audits and FBI investigations and EPA advisories. It will be these girls who get blown up on the battlefield in foreign countries:

Meanwhile the Bates girls will be given insufficient training, suicidal rules of engagement and sent out to their deaths. At least the Bates brothers have biology on their side in war.
War, and biology, do not CARE about your FEELINGS in either matter. If you fight with an eye toward EMPATHY you will lose every single time. How’s that war in Iraq with the limited engagement rules designed to ‘win the hearts and minds’ working out for our guys? Not so good. Yet another war where a lot of good men die and for what? What did we win? Now we want to lose young women to politically correct madness too?
I’m sorry biology and physics has tinkled in your cheerios. Biologically and numberically, men are expendable. Wishing it were not so in the name of ‘fairness’ doesn’t negate it one bit. I don’t have sons but I do have a husband whom I love dearly. A brother whom I love dearly and a father whom I love dearly. I’m certainly not ‘indifferent’ to the possibility they might die in a war.
Women are biologically weaker than men. There is nothing ‘fair’ or ‘equal’ about sending some 105lb 18yr old female to die on a foreign battlefield in combat with 220lb 25yr old male of the enemy. Maybe you think the enemy will only send all female regiments to fight our woman combatants?
Perhaps you missed the part in 10th grade biology about testosterone and bulky muscles and stronger bones? Do you think that 105lb female is the physical equivalent of even a scrawny 105lb male? Heck no.

Biology doesn’t CARE about your feelings. Neither does physics. War doesn’t care about ‘empathy’ or ‘feelings’ either. And it’s difficult to be indifferent in war. I grew up in a country in the middle of a civil war. Saw public executions right on the street corner too.
That 105lb female won’t be able, literally, to carry her weight. All she’ll do is cause some man to have a heavier pack and be more likely to get killed. Ask Israel how that works.
Women in combat. Disastrous for many reasons. Traitorous to have a leadership that would even suggest it. Even more disastrous that men, any men, would think it was some sort of expression of ‘fairness’.
So of course it’s more tragic when women die in combat. They aren’t equipped to fight in combat. For a lot of reasons. And shouldn’t be there to begin with. It’s not a happy day when men die in combat either.
The purpose of war isn’t to die for your country it’s to make the other guy die for his.
Ooooh, look at me, I’m a woman in the Army! I ran a mile this morning in 10 minutes, and I tied my own laces to my boots! After I did that, I wrote an OPORD with my crayons and carried 2 canteens in my LBV yesterday during formation. Now that I did those things, where are my EIB and Ranger Tab????

Actually they WERE advocating the draft. There’s a cadre of them on these threads that ‘I got drafted all those women should have to sign up at 18 just like we did’ ‘haha, serve them right, etc’.
I can point out specific posts if you like.
And there WILL be women in hard combat. And within 10 years there WILL be a draft. Wait for it.
I’m not sure how we stop either at this point. We didn’t stop unhealthcare, we didn’t stop repeal of DADT, we won’t stop immivasion and they WILL be drafting 18yr old women just out of HS for whatever the next A shau or fallujah. At which point I will assume they just want MY children dead. Without even the possibility of a fair fight thrown in via biology.
It’s not that I don’t have feeling for mothers of sons but they’ve at least got biology on their side. My youngest, who’s in the 10th%tile for WOMEN size couldn’t likely hump a 40lb pack any great distance. Much less survive a forced march with an 80lb pack or any decent amount of ammo or weapon. Her only advantage would be smaller target profile.
I would be forced to consider her being drafted and sent into combat as homicide with malice aforethought. My 6’5” nephew could hold his own.
I say this as a female. If I were on a specops team, as a guy, and ‘leadership’ put an unqualified female on my team for political purposes MY first trick out of the box would be to frag her. So the rest of the team would stand a better chance of survival. Then again, females might be smaller, weaker and less suited for warfare but we’re WAY meaner. Way. Men would sacrifice the whole team for the female’s safety and well being. Although the young men today MIGHT feel a little differently, having been subjected to affirmative action descrimination GRRRRRL power for their whole lives.
