Money can't buy the kind of political boost Huma Abedin is receiving. Like her mentor Hillary Clinton, the stand-by-your-man strategy will be her gateway to widespread popularity and respect.
Don't feel sorry for the Democrats over losing a former rising star politician like Anthony Weiner, whose future is so hopeless that even the New York Times says it's time to go. They have gained an even more promising candidate for high office. Huma Abedin is better-looking, better spoken, and more appealing than her role model. Yesterday's performance ("whole lotta therapy") was superb, establishing Ms. Abedin as dignified, strong, and starting to look as American as apple pie.
Although raised in Saudi Arabia, Ms. Abedin was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, a natural born American. There is a lot of big money help behind Huma and her hubby.
Last year, The New York Post reported:
"After quitting his Queens House seat amid a notorious sexting scandal, Weiner and beautiful, brainy spouse Huma Abedin, a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, landed in the sprawling, 12th-floor Park Avenue trophy residence owned by Rosen Partners LLC, which is headed by close Clinton pal Jack Rosen, records show. Rosen - who oversees the American Jewish Congress - is an influential international political force. He's been a guest at the White House, flies the Clintons in his private plane, and has poured money into both Bill and Hillary Clinton's election campaigns over the years, according to campaign-finance records.
He has also contributed several thousand dollars to Weiner's coffers, and is a top Obama bundler, donating more than $500,000 to the president's re-election efforts.

“”beautiful””
Holy smoke! If she’s beautiful, her husband is handsome..
He’s an addict because he can get away with it and there are never any consequences to him. Incidentally, I just saw a study in the WSJ that said there’s no such thing as a “sex addict,” and this has just been a convenient claim in our therapeutic age to excuse bad or even illegal behavior by prominent people.
I think a lot of this is because people like Clinton and Wiener and Obama think that they will get sympathy by claiming that they are working out their personal therapeutic dramas in public. Obama claims he is making himself feel better for having been abandoned by his African father by trying to create a black persona; Wiener is trying to make himself seem like somebody with a irresistible thirst for danger that belies his whiny nerdishness; and Clinton, just a good ol’ boy who simply can’t control his loveable, feckless nature. They think voters will be sympathetic to them — and unfortunately, they seem to be right.
I agree with you that politicians (and other people) do use the term “addict” to gain sympathy and excuse their bad behavior. But, just for the record, when I said Weiner is an addict, I didn’t mean that anyone should feel sorry for him. He deserves no sympathy at all. By saying he’s an “addict,” I’m saying that he will never change. Any woman who stays with one of these guys is fooling herself if she believes he will ever stop.
Another term that I think fits (in many cases) is “sociopath.”
Yes, sociopath fits...I can think of a certain other prominent person it fits, too!
She's not standing by her man. She's carrying out her assignment.
It's a little obscure to me WHY it's Weiner, and why the AJC is funding their lifestyle, given her deep MB connections, but hey, what do I know.
I presume that anything that happens involving Weiner and Huma is just part of a scheme to place her in the HRC White House as an agent of influence. Maybe the brains behind the MB see this pairing with a perverted Jewish American as a way to "Americanize" her, given what they think of us that may not be too far-fetched.
