If Quanell shows the usefulness of self defense laws for black people, it is better than claiming that there should be no use of self defense.

The hypocrisy and racism is easier to see.

This week... ?

This week it's black-on-black, we care, but no one in the MSM or race-baiting industry does.

A man stupid enough to mess with a Negro woman with a gun is too stupid to live.

I bet if Obama had a son, he would look just like Lewis Daniel.

“If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon,” Obama said, underscoring how the issue affected him on a personal, and not just a political or legal, level. ~ Obama 22 Mar 2012

Quanell has led recent marches in Houston to protest the not-guilty verdict a Florida jury returned in the 2012 shooting death of Trayvon Martin, but said McDonald cannot be compared to the man acquitted of killing the 17-year-old Martin. "George Zimmerman profiled Trayvon Martin. George Zimmerman stalked and pursued Trayvon Martin. George Zimmerman was armed (but) Trayvon Martin was not," Quanell said. McDonald "was the victim of an assault. She was trying to get away," he said. "She got the weapon to defend herself."

This "activist" is not helping this woman in any way. The woman may or may not have had a legitimate reason to kill Daniels. The police will investigate and make that determination. But this activist who is "helping" her is not doing her any favors by bringing Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman into the mix and claiming that this is somehow different. The only difference is that Zimmerman is an honorary white and this woman is black, which is the only difference that matters to these activists.

Shanequia McDonald - naming a baby Shanequia, Shamikwa, or any of the other spelling choices seems like it gives them a social handicap right from the go. Finding nickname would be a priority, I’d think.

McDonald said she fired at the ground, hoping to scare the man off.

"She never intended to shoot directly at him," Quanell said. "She didn't know the bullet actually ricocheted and hit him."

McDonald then went home to tell her mother what happened. Only then was the Houston Police Department notified.

Parts of her story seem factual, but this is pure fabrication. He was shot four times.

She took a video of him on the ground. Gots to be able to show my peeps...

She may not get charged, but she may have been able to avoid this situation more than she admits to.

Didn't seem to me he was coming close until she pulled out the gun. Of course if he had a knife in his hand, she had the right to defend herself. I note that she turned her back on him for a period when she pulled the gun out of the trunk. The fact that she didn't keep tabs on him moment by moment tells me she wasn't exactly expecting him to attack at any second.

Piecing together the comments, it seems that Q-10 believes the law should apply here because "Poochie" was armed with a knife, whereas Trayvon was not. Like most of his ilk, Quanell doesn't care about the letter of the law - he just wants it to disproportionately benefit "his people" (and punish the white devils).

There seems to be some disputed evidence that will need to come out in the grand jury.

Did she shoot just once or three times, and was the bullet a ricochet?

Description of his knife. Description of his umbrella.

He was alleged to have been harassing people with his umbrella before then.

Alcohol and drugs involved?

On the surface it seems to be a justified shooting, but that will be up to the grand jury to determine.

I do agree that her involving Quantrell X is not helping her case. She needs a lawyer, not an agitator.

She appeared to shoot him in the foot with her first round, then missed trying to shoot him in the foot again. It looks like he tried to hit her, after she shot him in the foot. I don’t know what was said, to get her to think the guy was a threat after the first shot to the foot. He and she seemed to be backing away from each other, after the second shot and after he tried to hit her. I can’t see how further shots are necessary, seeing as how the guy was retreating. It’d be better to have a full video of the entire confrontation, particularly after the second shot, but both people retreated out of camera sight, so its hard to make a determination. I think she has opened herself up for a manslaughter conviction, maybe involuntary, maybe voluntary. I’ll bet she gets charged because the guy was retreating when she fired the fatal shots. He was no longer a threat to her, and she continued to fire. The fact that she left the scene, afterwards, is also a problem for her.
