Rush Limbaugh lines up with Liz Cheney
Politico ^ | 7/22/13 | HADAS GOLD

Rush Limbaugh praised Liz Cheney on Monday while interviewing her on his radio show, calling her a Republican royal and one of former Vice President Dick Cheney’s “greatest contributions” to the country.

“After all the great things Dick Cheney has done for our country over his long brilliant career, Liz Cheney might turn out to be one of his biggest contributions of all,” Limbaugh said.

While interviewing Liz Cheney on his radio show, Limbaugh called her announcement to run against GOP Sen. Mike Enzi in a Wyoming primary as “momentous” and said the country needs more people like her.

“People like you are needed,” Limbaugh said. “We need about 95 more of you, at least 51 of you, and then we’d be talking.”

Limbaugh said Cheney comes from “Republican royalty” and praised her conservatism.

Rush, no matter how much he sympathizes with the Tea Party, cannot help but adore the GOPe as exemplified by the Cheneys. I was a great admirer of them till the NSA revelations.

The Cheney's are great supporters of the NSA. It's changed my opinion of them.

Sorry, Rush, can’t do it. Not that it matters as I do not live there but, no one on the GOP has actually showed me anything in a very long time.

Disagree with Rush. A pox on both Cheney (the queer-enabler) and Enzi (the next Corker)

I’m not lending my support unless there is a conservative in this race, and by that I mean a real one.

>> I was a great admirer of them till the NSA revelations.

It’s practically impossible for the average citizen to understand the consequences of the NSA revelations.

I was not impressed by Dick Cheney’s condemnation of Snowden, but isn’t it a possibility that Snowden created more damage than he intended to correct?

Regarding the NSA scandal, it’s Congress that’s responsible, but few if any cared to apply pressure on the woeful representation that is legislating and funding the surveillance programs.

Did Rush ask her about her take on immigration?

I listened to the interview and thought that Liz Chaney was very clear as a constitutional conservative. She wants to shake things up in Washington. Is FreeRepublic becoming a group of naysayers? You guys got anything bad to say about Sarah Palin too?

Nothing in the constitution about fags and she is all for them as well as amnesty. Read up and be informed.

Rush brings up the GOPe quite frequently at times, and not in the most flattering of ways.

And then he does something like this, as if he were their little toady on a leash.

I like Rush, but there are times when he really screws us.

I’d sure like to bend his ear from time to time. I’m certainly no sage, but I have an honest heart, am willing to listen to those who disagree, and after doing so I try to come down on the right side.

I don’t think Rush does listen much. I’m not trying to be overly critical, but you can’t be right as much as you want to be, if you aren’t willing to listen.

I only heard part of the interview...to my dismay I did NOT hear any discussion of social values.

Did anyone hear the entire interview?

The thread right before this one:

McCain: I endorse Mike Enzi over Liz Cheney

What a quandary!

I was tempted to go in your direction the other day, and then folks reminded me of some stuff. She’s not on our side. Look, I’m desperate to find some folks I can back, but some of these folks are just flat ass lying to us. Liz, unfortunately, is one of them.

She IS NOT one of us. She’s misrepresenting herself, and as time goes by, you’ll begin to realize this is true.

See that line in the sand.

She’s on the other side of it.
