Since Canadian born Ted Cruz has emerged on the scene in Washington as a future presidential candidate for 2016, attention has turned to whether he is Constitutionally eligible for Article 2 Section 1, the presidential qualification clause. This is what we know. Ted Cruz was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Many say that disqualifies him to be eligible for the presidency. Enter former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm. She was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I came across an interview she did with Fox News's Chris Wallace in February of 2010. During the interview Wallace brought up the fact that since she was born in Canada, she wasn't eligible to be president. Here is the transcript:

GRANHOLM: I’m American. I’ve got dual citizenship.”
With that said, I went to the biography of Jennifer Granholm and found that she was born to one American citizen and is indeed a dual Citizen who became 'NATURALIZED' as a U.S. Citizen in 1980 at the age of 21. Now this raises a question. How can a naturalized U.S. Citizen become president of the United States?

Thanks for the support little jeramiah. You are correct. The Constitution should always be put first over politics or anything else when it comes to the rule of law. No exceptions period. Sheriff Joe Arpaio believes this too. That is why he wants the Obama eligibility issue to go before a congressional hearing. And by the way for an update. According to Lt. Zullo, Sheriff Joe is now involved and making personal calls to congressmen in D.C. over Obama’s fraudulent documents.

I prefer someone that the original intent of the founder wanted. A candidate who was born to two U.S. Citizen parents that ensures that person has sole allegiance to the United States of America as president, a person such as Governor Sarah Palin. A true conservative!

Both of Jindal's parents weren't citizens. I think the same goes for Rubio. Cruz had one parent citizen.

Two US citizen parents doesn't ensure allegiance to the US. I refer you to many of of present day pols.
Anyway the issue is really about having one citizen parent or two citizen parents. The Constitution isn't very clear about the meaning of NBC.

I can not remember exactly where but I remember reading several historical accounts on this. As to your request for proof, a simple search will reveal the following. I am sure there is more.
