Chris Sevier, a 36-year-old man from Tennessee, got so addicted to porn videos that his wife took his children and left him. Now he has sued Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), saying the Cupertino, Calif.-based company failed to install any filter in its devices to prevent his affliction.
In a 50-page complaint, Sevier calls Apple a “silent poisoner” responsible for the proliferation of “arousal addiction, sex trafficking, prostitution, and countless numbers of destroyed lives.” Sevier is seeking damages from Apple, but said he will drop the lawsuit if Apple agrees to sell devices with a “safe mode.”
Sevier claims that his addiction started when he “accidentally” replaced the “a-c-e” in Facebook with a “--k.” Sevier said this F***book site “appealed to his biological sensibilities as a male,” and he started to prefer the images on the screen to his own wife.

Come to think about it, I've never seen a computer sold that wasn't in admin mode. I'm always coming across people using their computer in admin mode, without secondary login accounts or screen locks, which I then set up for them and teach them proper usage. This guy should sue every computer manufacturer. P.S. It's not only porn; a friend is addicted to movies and has illegally downloaded thousands of them (non-porn general movies). His wife never sees him but she doesn't care.
I want to reiterate my affection for Rush. When he had his heart incident in Hawaii I got sick about it. I have no animus against Rush. It’s just he has no business trying to be wise about love and women, because he is clearly misogynistic in his own personal life. He likes and admires men, and women better be extremely young and extremely attractive at all times. Hes just not capable of loving from the heart when it comes to a woman. its all about his eyes and what his eyes see. what do blind men do? Lately he has been surprisingly hard to listen to...

It's certainly driven the public's access to technology (VHS video tapes, as well as the video rental industry), DVD, and BluRay. And quite a bit of Internet traffic is porn.

I worry about boysn and this Internet. It's like they form an imprint and forever make themselves hopeless for love with an imperfectly formed woman ( and given time and no plastic surgery, we all fade to imperfection). Do you ever wonder if homosexuality is like a fetish, like the peculiar inexplicable sexual proclivities--like SHOE fetishes, for crying out loud.
Craving someone young enough to be a granddaughter, like Rush clearly craves---or feet, or the bodies of men...truly. We women can never understand the irrationality of men.

Consider the pervasive ugliness of porn.
I’m considering the question of what is isn’t porn. Titillating advertising isn’t porn? Swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated isn’t porn? Miss America pageant isn’t porn?
I haven’t listened to his show in a long time. And, back then, I wasn’t a big fan. I used to prefer listening when Walter Williams was hosting the show.
I don’t know why Rush’s other marriages didn’t last. I have to admit that I know nothing about his personal history. I probably should tune into the show again, just to hear what he’s been saying lately.
Well, why tune in? He really doesn’t like us real gals very much. Real women who aren’t refrigerated to be at the peak of freshness.

There wouldn’t be so many men addicted to porn, though, if there weren’t so many women willing to entertain them. But, there is so much weird stuff that men (and probably some women) are passing around, too. One young wife (early 20’s) told me that all of the young men today grew up looking at online porn, beginning at a young age, and now every young man she knows is addicted. It’s become a real problem. In the old days, they had to buy a magazine, hide it, etc., and they didn’t have the easy access to the stranger stuff. Now young boys can easily view some pretty disturbing things very easily online.
In a just world, Apple would be reimbursed for its lawyer costs before the wife would see a dime.
The question is above my pay grade. I’d bet that porn consumes huge amounts of bandwidth though.

I'm tired of the Freepers who justify pornography. Pornography destroys families. I'm in favor of any reasonable restrictions on it, although it appears that the cat is out of the bag, with regard to the internet.
When Al Gore was talking up the "information superhighway," I was calling it "the porno-net." And so it is.
