Sorry to hear that. Any pastor will tell you that this is a big problem.
I'm tired of the Freepers who justify pornography. Pornography destroys families. I'm in favor of any reasonable restrictions on it, although it appears that the cat is out of the bag, with regard to the internet.
When Al Gore was talking up the "information superhighway," I was calling it "the porno-net." And so it is.
I think online role playing games are a kind of porn as well. I used to associate both with boys and adolescence but it appears women are involved, too, and the average gamer is in his thirties. Online games create lives that offer satisfactions that real life can’t offer, very much like porn, and the addiction is similar.
Indeed, it does.

Indeed, it does seem to be.
I want to believe that the conservatives on this forum who try to justify pornography don't really understand what we're talking about. These days, the porn habit among men (and some women) has become far worse, thanks to easy, anonymous access via the internet. For many of them, it is like an addiction, and they will lie, cheat, steal, and go into debt for it.
Many guys fall deeper and deeper into it, forever looking for the increasingly weirder stuff. And, when just looking no longer satisfies them, they start acting on it - using webcams at first, and then eventually arranging to meet strangers in real life.
It doesn't matter how their wives look, or how nice their wives are. They become addicted to this other thing. And they can't stop. They'll blame their wives to try to justify their actions, but really they are at fault. An analogy might be the ring in Lord of the Rings: Once they wear it, they're never really released from it. It becomes something that tortures them throughout life. Some lose their jobs over it; their families are destroyed. But they're so sick that nothing else really matters to them.
