According to a source very close to the Republican Congressional leadership, Speaker of the House of Representatives John Boehner granted Patrick Murphys request to a private meeting to discuss Murphys possible defecting to the Republican Party.
(Excerpt) Read more at shark-tank.net ...
I had to reread- I read defecting as deflecting.
Me too! I read it as defecating,
It could be RATS fleeing a “sinking ship”!!
That’s good, even if it’s not an escape to “land.”
Where’s LAND anywhere?
Boehner should tell him to KSA, I'm sure it will be the other way around...
We don't need him in the GOP house...
Never, ever, trust these so called defectors.
This is just a prog tool to dilute a not so conservative party to begin with.
Once a traitor to one side, why not a traitor to the new side.
Can you say double agent?
Believe me; I would scream, twitch/flail, speak in tongues, and foam at the mouth in order to get to the top of the Lib/Prog/devilDem party, just to stick a shiv in their backs at every oportunity.
“I had to reread- I read defecting as deflecting.”
I read defecating....
The jerk that “beat” Allen West?
Well it certainly could be, he was a ‘Republican’ prior to running for Congress switching due to “disgust with the Tea Party”. He’s pro-choice and pro-queer.
I would oppose him in the primary if he did switch back.
why is Allen West not running again? Beneath him?
You dad’s democrat party also sucked. The party has been controlled by socialists at the national level since 1896.
I have no idea
West: “If all you want to know is if I am running for Congressional district 18, the answer is no. My sights and objectives, political and otherwise, are focused on something far greater,”
Cryptic stuff that probably means he’s not running for anything, unfortunately.
Even if he switched parties, he’d never survive renomination.
Well I hope not, part of the deal may be having the leadership scare off major challengers. He’d probably have little trouble with the likes of Alan Schlesinger.
According to the article though (I just read the whole thing) the GOP “passed on Murphy’s offer”. I wonder how much this will piss off the dems.
Alan Schlesinger is kinda a fun guy to campaign with ... he’s a character ... fulla warts, i know.
And of course, a Yankee.
Oh goody... a rat communist joins the gop communists for a rino “love in”.
What a fine American family you have. GOD bless them.
LLS
He will run against rubio in the Primary.
No, you have it exactly right.
I think I read he was the least popular House member in an article a few months ago. He’ll be gone 2014.
Patrick Murphy is not even close to being conservative enough, or representing a district unwinnable enough, to consider welcoming him to the Republican Party. Mike McIntyre of NC-07 and Collin Peterson of MN-07 I would accept; Henry Cuellar of TX-28, Dan Lipinski of IL-03 and Sanford Bishop of GA-03 I would consider.
They must need one more rino vote to overcome something
