“Nine months after the shooting of Trayvon Martin....”
Nine months?
Just like when the Trayvon story was ramping up, I’m going to urge all FReepers to gather the facts FIRST, before swallowing the tale hook, line and sinker.
It’s racist to ask them to turn their music down!!!!!
What a twisted little mind.
Doesn’t appear that Dunn will walk from what I’m reading.
THAT is horrible and NOTHING like the Zimmerman case.
I’m guessing these are the same kids that wouldn’t stay off the guy’s grass and he finally popped.
That should lower the volume of extremely bad music!

Really, the Farrakhanfactor.com posted on by the “Realbrother”?
This happened 8 months ago. How many whites have been killed by blacks since then?
There is a lot of pent up hate and anger out there.
It’s a good time for whites to avoid unnecessary encounters with blacks that have the potential to escalate into violence.
Most people I know are being extra cautious while tempers are hot.
since this actually seems to BE an unjustified, possibly racist act, the race baiters will ignore it. There is no reward in proving someone who did bad, did bad.
On the other hand, if an innocent man can be proved guilty, then along with him are also condemned all those other innocent appearing whites.
of course black entitlement has nothing to do with this
privilege? really? - whats the privilege? - to go to the convenience store and not have to sit through a rap/hip hop tune that denigrates women as "ho's" and blacks as "ni**3rs"?
It’s pointless to ask the kids to turn down their music. You tolerate it as long as you are at the store, or the stop light, and enjoy the quiet when it’s gone. It doesn’t matter what color the kids are, you simply ignore it as best you can.
It is never worth firing shots over. If in fact the kids all remained in the car, the perp will get serious prison time and he should.
Was the alleged shooter a “white” Hispanic male?

What does one post have to do with the other?
The real story MAY be very different that the one told by the clearly biased article.

In recalling the event, he said he had been polite in asking the group to turn their music down, and that the boys complied, to which he thanked them. But he said the youth in the rear passenger seat, presumed to be Davis, was getting really agitated and became livid.Unsure whether he was hearing the music, now turned back up, or if it was the teen, he heard threats against his life and then saw the boy open the door to get out of the SUV, he said.
Thats when he said he reached into his glove box and took his Taurus 9mm out of its holster.
Quicker than a flash, I had a round chambered in it and I shot.
He said he shot four times through his window, and then stepped out and fired the final four shots as the SUV began to pull away, making sure the boys kept their heads down.
The detectives said the boys agreed that Davis had cursed at him and reacted in defiance but he had never threatened his life.
Police said none of the witnesses reported seeing anyone get out of the SUV, other than the driver when he got out to get gas.
The writer who seems very biased by face and politics does not tell us the entire story and does not tell us Dunn’s side of the story.
How many menacing teens were in that SUV?
How many weapons did they display?
What are the sound and noise ordinances in Jacksonville?
What made Dunn so fearful of his life that he had to escape the danger?
