Authorities say the Cincinnati-area man who was badly beaten by six teens almost a year ago in a Cincinnati suburb has died.
Pat Mahaney, 46, died yesterday in the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, said Julie Wilson, spokeswoman for the Hamilton County prosecutor’s office.
The six teens, all 13 or 14, injured Mahaney in August and told police they did it because they were bored and looking for something to do.
Wilson said Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph Deters has asked the coroner for an autopsy.
Three of the youths have pleaded guilty to felonious assault.
Wilson would not elaborate on whether the office will seek additional charges against the teens. She said the office will describe its “next steps, if any,” after the coroner issues a report.
A year later this man dies, an autopsy will be done and if the cause of death is anything related to the beating this man took then this truly is a MURDER 2nd DEGREE case, not like that kangaroo court in Florida.
Its no surprise at the massive numbers of conceal carry permits that have been issued over the past few years. I don't care how old anyone looks if they come threatening me, my family, my home or my business.
I am waiting for 0bozo come on the news and tell us that these bored teens all would look like "his sons". I thought around the last couple years of the GWB administration that race relations were getting pretty good overall, save for the Katrina disaster that libs pinned on him. But here we are a few short years later and race relations are the worst I have ever seen in my lifetime.

They should be all tried and convicted as adults by a bored prosecutor looking for something to do. Then executed by a bored hangman looking for something to do.
In Common Law, if the victim dies within a year of an attack, it is murder.

Justice for Mahoney....killed by 6 Trayvon Wannabes
In a situtation like this the names and pictures of the teens - after they have been tried and convicted - should be published. I do not understand why teens that commit such horrible crimes like this should be protected from having their identies revealed.
