"MSNBC Anchor: Blacks Are Not Safe Anywhere in America" Melissa Harris Perry, very emotionally states that blacks are not safe anywhere in...

They’ enjoy a greater degree of safety than Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom did.
We were then stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Lived there from the late 50's to the late 60's. With a brief interlude for that little spat between Kennedy and Khrushchev.
Blacks in Gitmo were no different from whites. The only real cultural divide was between officers' families and enlisted men's families. We were VERY isolated from the culture of the States.
When we came back to the states, I was shocked by the changed in the black family. The black families I met were scrambled: the children didn't know their dads and many were rudderless.
I still cry over this. I guess I missed the slowly boiling frog syndrome. My brother and I were mystified at the attitudes of our friends towards the black kids. And we were clueless why the families were torn apart.
I still don't understand much about racial tensions, racial slurs. I often feel like a stranger in a strange land.
Amazing the night of the verdict was reached I was in Applebees eating dinner and there were at least a dozen black people eating there as well...
They all seemed safe to me and enjoying themselves...

My goofy 21 year old was out at the local clubs with his buddies. Said a lot of the white guys were cheering the verdict and buying everyone shots ...he said there were blacks there, but they didn’t seem fazed by it.
I think more and more of them are just laughing at all of this. They have lives, jobs, and things to do. They aren’t interested in Jesse’s Race Baiting Show.
Who is safer:
A white person in a black neighborhood
or
A black person in a white neighborhood?
“Well, if we take a look, statistically speaking, blacks are not safe from other blacks in the wrong part of town.”
The truth is a black youth walking alone in a any predominately white neighborhood after dark is safer than a white youth walking alone in a black neighborhood after dark. The black youth is likely also safer walking alone in the white neighborhood after dark than he is walking alone in a black neighborhood.
Government has tried fixing this problem for over 50 years and failed. White people today have rejected the KKK and embraced political correctness to the point where they put themselves in physical danger in order not to be perceived as racists.
It is only blacks who have not changed. It is only blacks who can fix their own culture of violence.
Any of us, of any race, can avoid attacking a stranger and trying to beat him to death.
What scares non blacks, is learning what can happen to us even if we manage to save our life in an attack.
We used to think that the only issue in self defense was that we somehow prevail and live and learn to get on with our lives, now we learn that we can be turned into an OJ Simpson like figure of a national killer, facing prison, lawsuits, the end of any respectable future or career, and having the media almost assigning a status of kill on sight, to us.
Especially when the race has voted demorat all their life.
Oh...my...gawd! Did she have the back of her hand to her forehead when she said that? Sheesh....
Folks of this race can achieve magnificent things...they already have.
But when they (or anyone) falls into the trap laid by the "grievance" crowd, they are doomed. They refuse to assimilate, they begin to see themselves as historically put-upon--taken advantage of. They become aggrieved and pitiful...and they lose their claim to life.
It isn't racial...it is purely cultural.
This complaint "you are racist" is a smoke-screen. It isn't about racism...it is about choice...the choice to refuse to participate in the human experiment. A choice to try to resurrect an already dead culture...feral, primitive Africanism.
It is violent, it is without moral value or, for that matter, Judeo/Christian principles.
Before considering this culture, take a look at Africa.
What has it produced?
Absolutely nothing!
Yes...if they pounce on someone for just watching out for the neighborhood, they sure as hell are not safe! Daaaaa!
I agree.
What's this country coming to when a thug can't even mug a creepy assed cracker without getting himself shot?
I’ve been accosted, roughed up, threateningly hit up for money, and sucker punched six times in my life, starting at age 13 — Ithaca, Cleveland, Columbus, Columbia (MO), and Palo Alto (twice). Every single time by you know who. There’s a reason blacks aren’t safe anywhere in America...and it’s the same reason whites aren’t safe anywhere.
93% of the blacks murdered are murdered by other blacks, but it’s Whitey’s fault.
The safest place for blacks to live in America is among whites.
Correction. Government CREATED this problem in the 60s. Then, as always, every attempt government made to fix the mess made it MUCH WORSE.
I have that book, Reader’s Digest must have had an article on it.

From 1991 to 1994, Keith Richburg was based in Nairobi as the Africa bureau chief for the Washington Post. He traveled throughout Africa, from Rwanda to Zaire, witnessing and reporting on wars, famines, mass murders, and the complexity and corruption of African politics. Unlike many black Americans who romanticize Africa, Richburg looks back on his time there and concludes that he is simply an American, not an African American. This is a powerful, hard-hitting book, filled with anguished soul-searching as Richburg makes his way toward that uncomfortable conclusion.

And yes, I truly think they're all jerks for being dishonest.
White on black violence is nearly nonexistant.
Shall we talk black on white violence?
