Black Conservatives Ask the NAACP to Condemn Progressive Racism at the Orlando Annual Convention
FreedomWorks
July 12, 2013
FreedomWorks Outreach Director Deneen Borelli and Senior Fellow Rev. CL Bryant will attend the NAACP Annual Convention in Orlando on Sunday, July14th and Monday, July 15th before the keynote speeches to ask the NAACP to publicly denounce the racial attacks against black conservatives.
Reverend CL Bryant commented, As a former NAACP branch president in Garland, Texas, I was punished for my outspoken belief that as a Baptist preacher, my rights come from God, not the government. The NAACP has strayed from the principles of empowerment and opportunity. We are here to remind the leadership and the membership that the NAACP stands for the advancement of colored people, not the advancement of colored progressives.
FreedomWorks Outreach Director Deneen Borelli commented, As a black conservative, Ive been attacked for communicating my values of individual liberty and economic opportunity for all Americans. The NAACP refuses to defend my right to express my views, despite my numerous attempts to contact their headquarters. Sadly, this once venerable civil rights organization has morphed into a political arm of the progressive movement, and it reserves its advocacy for left-wing causes and individuals. We are asking the NAACP to end their selective representation of black victims of racial discrimination, and to provide a voice for black conservatives to speak at their events.
The 104th NAACP Annual Convention will be held at the Orange County Convention Center, 9800 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819.
On Monday evening from 6-10pm ET, FreedomWorks will host a free screening of Rev. CL Bryants documentary, Runaway Slave, for attendees of the NAACP Convention followed by Q&A for those who want to learn more about the discrimination against black conservatives. The screening will take place at the Adair room of the Westin Orlando Universal Blvd Hotel (across the street from the Convention Center), 9501 Universal Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32819.

I don’t think the National Association for the Advancement of Communist Precepts is going to pay heed to black conservatives.
NAACP was hijacked by the communist party long ago.
Kind of like how the GOP-e pays heed to Any-color conservatives.
They can’t right now... They are in the middle of a racist push to have Holder file charges against Z again...
The beautiful Deneen Borelli has the love of Jesus in her eyes. She’s wearing a cross. What a blessing!
If rights "come from government" then the government can take them away quite arbitrarily without any explanation.
I still shake my head when I think about Cynthia having been my Congresscritter for a few years due to a line-drawing fiasco.
So often one can tell who is a conservative by the look of them. I know it isn’t always the case, but it holds true very often.
I’m sorry to hear that. :)
You must have had to facepalm daily.
If the NAACP has given these two a platform in which to speak, it’s only because they want the opportunity to heap scorn at them. With the atmosphere post-Zimmerman, they’ll be lucky if they get out of Orlando unscathed.
Isn’t that the truth...
Its extremely depressing that the main source of bigotry - even against humans that looking their members - is the NAACP. What a sad, sad corrupted institution it has become since its founding in the Interest of all men and women in the USA of African descent.
We are privileged to have her on our side.
Applaud her appeal to this communist organization but any organization which by its very name is racist, tries to address racial issues, it is like an abortionist trying to abort only pro-life people.
Wow, she actually looks sane and decent on the right.
She’s made up, dressed nice, and smiling...I’m in a state of shock.
Is she married?
