State Attorney Angela Corey fired her offices information technology director Friday after he testified last month about being concerned prosecutors did not turn over information to George Zimmermans defense team in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.
On the same day attorneys finished their closing arguments in that nationally watched trial, a state attorney investigator went to Ben Kruidbos home about 7:30 a.m. to hand-deliver a letter stating Kruidbos can never again be trusted to step foot in this office.
The letter contended Kruibos did a poor job overseeing the information technology department, violated public records law for retaining documents, and noted he was questioned in March when the office was trying to determine who had leaked personnel information obtained through a computer breach.
In an interview Friday, Kruidbos denied the allegations in the letter, which was written by Cheryl Peek, the managing director of the State Attorneys Office.
He said he had acted in good faith about genuine concerns. He said he had been proud to work at the State Attorneys Office and feared the letter would cripple his chances at finding another job to support his family, including a 4-month-old son.
I dont have any regrets, he said, but I am terrified about the future and what that will end up being.(continued)

The State Attorneys office in Florida seems to have a very big stink emanating from within it.
***********************************
It started right after Rick Scott was elected ,,, he had Bondi , his AG , fire the only two investigators former AG McCollum had that were actually going after the banks for fraud and other illegal acts ... He just recently had a kangaroo court uphold those firings AFTER years of their findings coming out as true in various cases (filed by entities other than the Florida State AG).
She supposedly has a special close relationship with one of the Forensic people that was called to testify.
Rao.
Remember Governor Scott appointed Rogue Persercutor, Angela Corey to railroad Zimmerman.
I voted for him the last time but never again. Spread the word to his conservative base. Let them know that a political coward who grovels before the Race Card, who thinks nothing of destroying the life of an innocent man should not get their vote.
Someone posted that Dershowitz is willing to take on the appeal pro bono. He has it in for Corey based on past history.
The frustration for West boiled over the night they went until 10 and he got into it with the Judge.
There is a case in Florida that leads to ineffective legal counsel if they are overworked.
I have no doubt that someone was pushing the Judge very hard and she felt the pressure ,too.
Although, she is known to be favorable to Prosecutors.
This Kruidbos guy needs to keep his mouth shut for now and retain the best lawyer specializing in whistleblower cases he can possibly find/afford.
********************************
Sounds like that’s what’s he’s doing ... from the article ********************************
His attorney Wesley White who resigned from the State Attorneys Office in December and is a critic of Corey said the firing was aimed at sending a message to office employees that if they feel like there is wrongdoing, they should not disclose it or seek legal guidance from a private attorney.
If they do speak to an attorney, then they are dead, he said. The State Attorneys Office will do whatever is necessary to not only terminate them, but destroy their reputations in the process.
State Attorney spokeswoman Jackelyn Barnard did not return phone calls or emails for comment.
Kruidbos, 42, had been on paid administrative leave since May 28 from his $80,892 job.
In January, he used computer software technology to extract photographs and text messages from the source file in Martins cellphone. Kruidbos was able to recover more information than the Florida Department of Law Enforcement obtained previously.
It is Chicago in Florida
The next thing you know, the Florida Travons will begin slaughtering each other on Saturday nights
The cell phone was also held by the prosecution for a long enough time that the GPS data which is retained on different memory chips was lost due to the length of time without battery power (not the main battery that can be removed but a slow drain capacitor that serves as a battery had to go totally dead) ... The photo’s and text messages are stored on non-volatile memory chips , funny that the IT guy could easily access the data when the FDLE couldn’t. Even if the file was corrupted by a sudden power down (battery removal while in the process of storing data for instance) the file could still be opened using commercial software designed to get data from broken digital cameras .
The entire AG’s office is corrupt and cannot be trusted to make evidence available. Time to clean house.
He committed the worst possible crime for an employee of Angela’s, being honest.
It’s a weak IT Director who doesn’t keep his own ammo in a political office. I’m just saying...
To: Joe 6-pack
“Looks like Angela Corey wants to be a defendant in a wrongful termination lawsuit.”.....
Looks like the list of terminations due to this mess will be leading to one major class action lawsuit agains’t the whole state of Fla. pretty soon. Who’s next?
Those people are so corrupt, I wouldn’t spend another dime in Fla. if Zimmerman is found guilty of ANYTHING.
I hope he saved copies of his e-vals.
Whos next?

Scott.
Libs already claiming it was right to fire him for being disloyal and not being a team player.
it gets better, Florida has a whistle-blower act and it is pretty strong. Not sure section one applies, but section 2 and 3 do.
See § 448.102-.103. Section 448.102 prohibits employers from taking three types of retaliatory personnel action:
An employer may not take any retaliatory personnel action against an employee because the employee has:
(1) Disclosed, or threatened to disclose, to any appropriate governmental agency, under oath, in writing, an activity, policy, or practice of the employer that is in violation of a law, rule, or regulation. However, this subsection does not apply unless the employee has, in writing,
brought the activity, policy, or practice to the attention of a supervisor or the employer and has afforded the employer a reasonable opportunity to correct the activity, policy, or practice.
(2) Provided information to, or testified before, any appropriate governmental agency, person, or entity conducting an investigation, hearing, or inquiry into an alleged violation of a law, rule, or regulation by the employer.
(3) Objected to, or refused to participate in, any activity, policy, or practice of the employer which is in violation of a law, rule, or regulation.
I smell a wrongful termination suit coming...
I agree. But also judge Nelson should be terminated for her reversible errors during discovery and her allowing the prosecution to ask who was more likely to: be afraid? to start a fight? to profile? to follow? et al... without the defense given the opportunity to enter into the trial the evidence that pertains to that line of argument. The state attorney - clearly tried to hide evidence as she engineered this railroading, the judge rode the caboose.
There is nothing more dangerous to life, liberty and property than an unconstrained government, the kind that can cheat and lie in court and stir up mobs and riots on the streets.
If he is just more willing that is one thing, if he is really more capable then he should get multiple job offers soon.
Conservatives should be just as afraid of Republicans as we are the libs There is no difference between the two
