Today, July 12th, is DAY #24 (of 5th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.
Yesterday the prosecution provide closing arguments (Summary: http://legalinsurrection.com/2013/07/states-closing-argument-two-hours-of-raising-doubt).
Today the defense attorney, Mark O’Mara will present his closing argument. Then the prosecution rebuttal.

This is probably a dumb question, but can he even bring up manslaughter? Does the jury know it’s an option at this point?

The break he took was the same amount of time TM was missing from GZ’s site.
Now what about Zim's 4 minutes. He can now address that because I believe Zim was still on the phone.

be prepared to see something that makes no sense because he’s not getting off. If they don’t get him here, they will file wrongful death charges and then it that doesn’t work, the state and/or the feds will charge him with civil rights violations.
Jury currently pondering whether they can return a “Not Guilty” verdict quickly enough to sleep in their own beds tonight and enjoy a quiet weekend at home.
