I think you right, Toespi.
I especially appreciated your well-reasoned post.
There's been a variety of comments and analysis of his demeanor, all of which have been very interesting...and only one snarky one in the pack. I enjoyed the discussion. It'll be fun to see if Zimmerman's remarkable robotic placidity is remarked upon when the jurors are free to speak and be interviewed.
BTW, I'd be delighted to have George for a neighbor, just for the record.
Thanks to all who participated in the discourse...very enlightening and appreciated.

the only giveaway is if they don’t look at the defendant when they come in with their verdict and that isn’t even reliable
So did they only deliberate for 2.5 hours?
Hmmm. I could be right on the length of deliberation time after all.
My prediction was 4 hours, 40 minutes.
They didn’t take almost a week...I think it was less than 24 hours.
WOW that poster called it to a tee.
MOM even got it wrong
If it were a panel of six men they would say let’s get ourselves a verdict and go home.
The women want to enjoy the process of reaching the verdict.
I for one am glad. We can all take a breath tonight. Prayer and fasting (after I order a pizza lol)
You keep repeating there was a juror crying during the prosecutions rebuttal. This is not true, the AP reported they THOUGHT they saw a juror wipe one eye but another reporter who has been in the courtroom the entire trial said the juror is B29 and has wiped her eye or eyes for whatever reason throughout the entire trial, but was not crying. Maybe tired or whatever.
I tend to agree. They’ve probably decided on a verdict and want to “sleep on it.”
You may be right - you’re far more charitable than I :)
There are no blacks on the jury.
You forgot you /s tag.
Interesting!
“This one could easily take a week before a verdict.”
Yikes!
I was mugged once and had my nose broken in that incident.
About 10 years later I was driving, not paying attention. Car in front of me stopped short, I skidded to a stop, no accident, but loud screeching of tires. I waved to driver in front of me and mouthed “I’m sorry”.
Next thing I know they are driving along side me telling me they are going to kick my ass. Two long haired white freaks. So I slow down , stay behind. We pull up to a light, one of the bastards got out. I rev up the engine to about four grand and got ready to smear the SOB. No way in hell will I ever take another beating for no reason. He knew at that moment I was serious, and he got back into his car.
I would have killed the SOB then and there. I was boxed in in traffic, ready to smash the crap out my car and all those around me.
I had a kid like Trayvon, black kid, take a swing at my face while walking in NYC. No reason. Just for the fun of it. He and his buds laughed, and what was so funny to them, I had a one year old infant on my back and could not fight.
So when I see Trayvon beating Zimmerman to a pulp, I say he got exactly what he deserved. Hope the jury feels the same.
If more than two are gathered together in Trayvon's name tonight, I DO look for craziness.

That could be a very good guess, actually.
With some of those “families” that started they day they were born.
The longer it goes, the less emotional the decision, I would think.
I view this, and the request for evidence, as a good sign.
Indeed, the longer deliberations go, the better chance of acquittal, I would think.
Opposite for me . Mixed group watching. Verdict rendered . Black co-workers immediately said Hes guilty as hell, and got away with it
Perhaps the difference is explained here.
Thks for the link
