He called to say that he has arrived safely at basic training. He only had a minute to talk, understandably, and to tell us that we should expect mail soon that would have his contact information. Future contact is at the discretion of his drill sergeant.

He’s doing well. Sounded confident and not under stress. Very proud of him.
