Secretary of State John Kerry was on his boat briefly on Wednesday, contrary to an earlier denial by the State Department, but was there only briefly and did not conduct official business while on board.
While he was briefly on his boat on Wednesday, Secretary Kerry worked around the clock all day including participating in the presidents meeting with his national security council," spokeswoman Jen Psaki said Friday. Kerry also held calls "with Norwegian Foreign Minister Eade,Qatari Foreign Minister al-Attiyah, Turkish Foreign Minister Davutoglu, Egyptian Constitution Party President ElBaradei and five calls Ambassador Patterson on that day alone and since then he continued to make calls to leaders including Emirati Foreign Minister bin Zayed, Prime Minister Netanyahu and Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr. None of the calls were made from aboard the boat.

I like center cockpits because you get to hang out aft and fore to experience different feels of boat, the water, winds and just two completely different environments.
then again, I couldn’t care less about the cockpit. Just love being on the water.
Think I’ll go for a drive over to Carmel.
Are you going to the races in San Francisco this summer?
Ahhhh thanks. There were a few things I ever really wanted in life...besides family....one was to own a sailboat.
ha. 5 stars
That’d be like saying there should be a limit to how many timepieces or shoes one should have.
The only reason I don’t like center cockpits is because of the interior space it eliminates. Interior space is really important on smaller boats.
And no, I haven’t been to San Fran since my brother moved from there. I prefer SoCal.
Wow, Lucky you, for the weather and location....
Not only was he briefly on boat, but he was also briefly in... Vietnam!
Hmmm...makes sense to have more interior. Especially if you stay on her overnight.
More people can sleep comforably.
Me? I’d sleep on the floor if there was no bunk available.
As long as he works his 8 hours, I don’t see what the problem is. I would like to have a job where I can do the 8 hours whenever I want during the day, but alas I work 0830-1700 everyday without flexibility.
I keep threatening my wife I'm gonna sell the house and buy a boat and some pastureland alongside an inland waterway that gets a tide. That way she can keep her horses...So far the prevailing opinion is NFW ;(
I've noticed that 9 out of 10 couples who first think live aboard is a good idea seem to lose their ardor for it (or for each other, or both) after a few years.
I have noticed just the opposite. We are surrounded by live aboards, the longest is 18 yrs or so. Boats are definitely close quarters but I see it done all the time.
At this time in my life I am ready to do something else. I love the boat lifestyle, and it is definitely a lifestyle, so it seems right for me. Hubby has too much ‘stuff’ he doesn’t want to get rid of. lol
Kerry, the fact that he is an incompetent bourgeoisie notwithstanding, inherited a crap sandwich from his predecessor..
This is Hillary’s bag he’s holding..
Heheh. Mebbe they's the 1 out of 10 who were meant to be...
Did John Kerry shoot himself in the buttocks again?
Was he on the boat long enough to finally stop dodging the taxes on said boat?
Thanks Timber Rattler.
"Reversing denial, State says Kerry was briefly on boat"
This entire administration is comprised of pathological liars - that is why Kerry was the perfect choice to replace Hillary.
Why tell the truth when you can tell a meaningless lie?
If Barack Obama swore that the sun would rise in the east I wouldn't believe him.
Top 10 Secrets of Effective Liars
#1 Have A Reason
"...the trick is to lie as little as possible - only when you actually have something to gain.
"Pathological liars can't stop themselves from lying, so they tell a lot of little lies and wind up getting caught,"
Truly expert fabricators, save their ammunition - they don't bother to lie unless it's going to get them something they really want.
This has been done for decades. Every time the boat goes out or the plane's hobbs meter runs, it's a tax write-off.
Oh God, he’s such an embarrassment...
State Dept: Kerry was not on the boat. He was nowhwre near the boat. That is a lie
Reporter: But I saw him
State Dept: That’s a lie because he was never there.
Reporter: Here’s a picture.
State Dept: OK he was there on the boat but not for long. You can trust us on that.
