Today, July 2nd, is DAY #17 (of 4th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.
Today Detective Chris Serino will be back on the stand. [Yesterday ended] on the stand with Chris Serino, who was the lead investigator for the Sanford Police Department on the Trayyvon Martin shooting.
Defense counsel Mark OMara led cross-examination with his usual consummate skill, obtaining responses from this witnessremember, the States witnessthat all but completely guts the States charge in this case.
Among the key revelations so far: Zimmerman was always completely cooperative, open, and straightforward with all the police investigators over many weeks of multiple interviews, both in person at the police station and phone. The sense given is that Zimmerman demonstrated endless patience. (continue reading summary)

Please do not diminish the importance of Chicken and Waffles.
It’s a rule, I think. And I don’t want to be any place that Chicken and Waffles aren’t welcomed.
;0)
This bald DA is antagonistic to his own witness? I had to laugh.
Say GZ is best friend he has ever had. Gotta wonder where pros will go with this one...
The only thing Zimmerman could do was assume that Martin intended to keep on punching, it wasn't a time for hope and optimism.
Personally I would be intent on putting a stop to the event, whatever it took.
>> Doesn’t everybody do this?
All. The. Time.
The hilarious thing is, we have had to call our own NEN and **ARGUE** with them to send someone out and take a look! Especially if it’s near shift-change time.
One strategy that I’ve found effective to get ‘em off their butts is: “Hey, you always tell us to report suspicious stuff... so I’m telling you, I live here and this is suspicious! If a crime happens, it’s on your hands now...”
You could post that on Facebook/Twitter with a misleading caption/title and then sit back watch the politically ignorant and the uninformed take off with it...
then....then....you will how it feels to be a liberals reporter/main stream media shill.
They are still going back and forth.
Of course, I think you know they are suppose to be limited to the other sides questions and answers..so what they can do is limited when it goes back across the aisle
I am pretty sure Serino is right that GZ said he was still in the car during that 911 question. I think it is near the end of the tape

I will have to review it
He picked up GZ after the incident and is testifying to what GZ told him about it.
Hoodat, one of my favorite movie scenes—every time I see this picture is on, I tune in to what this scene.
O’Mara is trying to appeal to the jury’s ‘intelligence’.
BDLR is trying to appeal to the jury’s ignorance.
Yes, today’s re-direct, re-cross, re-re-direct, re-re-cross, etc. is very clearly about clarifying potentialy damaging information on the interrogation tape.
I think what others are objecting to is the characterization of exactly how damaging the tape was/is. I believe MOM has now sufficiently rehabilitated any of Zim’s answers on that tape that could be misunderstood by the jury during deliberations.
How then do they account of the apparent wind noise (on the cell recording) that stops after being told "we don't need you to do that".
Recounting conversation next morning after the event
Bernie — his race??
By that time he knew that he was black
Bernie is an idiot
Yes. He has given Different reasons for why he got out of the car.
Many people don’t believe GZ when he said he got out to see the street sign.
I think it is plausible because of my own views. I don’t know the names of all the streets in my subdivision.
Here we go, this is going to be about racial profiling.
Yes. The trial is not about justice.
Heck, most court cases, criminal, civil, are not about justice in any sane sense of the word.
It is about getting a ruling/conviction that supports your side.
Truth is never important to a court.
A court is only concerned with process.
