Today, July 2nd, is DAY #17 (of 4th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.
Today Detective Chris Serino will be back on the stand. [Yesterday ended] on the stand with Chris Serino, who was the lead investigator for the Sanford Police Department on the Trayyvon Martin shooting.
Defense counsel Mark OMara led cross-examination with his usual consummate skill, obtaining responses from this witnessremember, the States witnessthat all but completely guts the States charge in this case.
Among the key revelations so far: Zimmerman was always completely cooperative, open, and straightforward with all the police investigators over many weeks of multiple interviews, both in person at the police station and phone. The sense given is that Zimmerman demonstrated endless patience. (continue reading summary)

MOM has some rehab work.
Are you an attorney? Just curious.
TM could have been still alive and brought his arms to his chest before he died.
Yes. In Round 14 of a 15 round championship fight, the bloodied and staggering boxer gets in his first punch of the fight.
” He won the first few minutes by having Serinos opinion of Zimmermans truthfulness thrown out”
Baldy just asked if serrino “felt” zimmerman could be exaggerating. Why didn’t Omara object? The judge basically threw out testimony of serino that said he “felt” zimmerman was telling the truth. Same thing.
Wait. What? I don't understand that last statement you made. What did I miss here?
LOL! So true....
I’m laughing about the knowing street name. There is a junction with three names on the sign at the T road that adjoins my property. It does not have the name of the road in my address
Even if there was a sign it was dark and his flash light didn’t work.
I didn’t see where she was “excommunicated”....I saw where several very patient Freepers were trying to explain the errors in her theory. I also saw where she was even admonished to just step back and consider that she is well respected and continuing in the manner she was going may cause FR to lose respect and for her to lose credibility.
I get the passion and trying to get to the bottom of thing and even trying to explain yourself if you are misunderstood. I GET IT. I am that person. I have done that several times in my life and I understand. I also know many times I was a pain in the butt because I refused to acknowledge (acknowlege?) some glaring facts. I was feeling bad for her knowing that she wasn’t realizing what she doing and refusing to listen to people trying to tell her. But, it’s a new day and maybe we can carry on with a little more....coherency...for lack of a better word...
bahahahhahahahah
talk about a poster but poster shouldnt reply
PS..did you notice the blow that Serino landed about the injuries.
Let’s see if O’Mara can diffuse it.
Please just stop, or take it to another thread. I really would like to be able to follow what is happening in the case without having to read your incessant nattering over whether you are right or not about one small piece of the case. No one cares anymore about your opinion on that - you beat that dead horse to a bloody pulp yesterday. Don’t start again.
That was my thought. After GZ pulled them our he drew them back in to his wounded chest.
Did Bernie just open the door when he asked about Serino being taken off the case?
What about the PD that attempted CPR? Did they not move the arms? I thought first officer on the scene confirmed the arm position that GZ described. Or was it not possible that TM could have moved after GZ let go of him?
Yay! Omara picked up the emphasis on the word ‘a$$hole’ and is difussing.
The problem is the jury.
Did you notice how many woman didn’t believe GZ in the poll.
As one poster just pointed out here..
Don’t be dancing a victory dance.
Even though he has pretty good jurors.
Ok, I keep seeing “conflicting story” from GZ...
But, I have only seen consistency.
What am I missing?
There is a bright line distinction in trial, between an expert and a fact witness. In this trial, all of the investigators and police are fact witnesses.
It would be hard for me to do justice to a decent explanation, but the fact that a cop has 20, 30 or 40 years of experience does not entitle him to tell the jury whether or not a witness is telling the truth. That's for the jury to decide.
Not to say that Serino isn't a good judge of truthfulness, he probably is very good at it. But "truthfulness" can also be determined by a jury, without resort to an expert - that's the whole point of trial/jury, to have the jury weigh the evidence.
At this point, the prosecution has brought up the language that Zimmerman used ‘f’in punks’ and ‘they always get away’.
The defence could bring up the fact that the area has had many burgaries and break in’s and this pure frustration by Zimmerman because they were never caught and not as a remark at little trayvon.
“The arm deal really has me puzzled”
I thought about that too. But if Travon was not immediately dead and it hurt, he may have moved his arms toward the wound.
