Today, July 2nd, is DAY #17 (of 4th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.
Today Detective Chris Serino will be back on the stand. [Yesterday ended] on the stand with Chris Serino, who was the lead investigator for the Sanford Police Department on the Trayyvon Martin shooting.
Defense counsel Mark OMara led cross-examination with his usual consummate skill, obtaining responses from this witnessremember, the States witnessthat all but completely guts the States charge in this case.
Among the key revelations so far: Zimmerman was always completely cooperative, open, and straightforward with all the police investigators over many weeks of multiple interviews, both in person at the police station and phone. The sense given is that Zimmerman demonstrated endless patience. (continue reading summary)

He will need a stiff drink before and after his testimony.
"Thank God", pause...."Thank God", pause....Thank God"
Watch and learn with emphasis to some to “watch.” Yesterday the thread was IMHO, hijacked by two or three people on one or two topics.

Can we get everyone to ignore the screaming banshees who claim St Skittles was being followed. It is irrelevant to the case and there is nothing illegal about it.
I think yesterday was topped off by OM asking Serino at the last moment,Do you think Z was telling the truth after all your attempts to trip him up and Serino sez YES.
NPR actually reported taht Serino testified that he believed Z and mentioned his apparently sincere relief when told the whole thing was captured on video.
He said either Z is telling the truth or he is a pathalogical liar. So, barring expert testimony that Z is a pathalogical liar, this is good, especially considering NPR reported it.
Bump for further investigation. Going to listen to the wet grass first. Trying to determine if water wet grass sounds different than dew wet grass.
I apologize for my posts about the car testimony in My Cousin Vinny. But the refusal by editor-surveyor to let the phone delay issue go was kinda wierd.
Yes, wasn’t that a wonderful moment? I just hope and pray the jurors were paying attention.
Oops. I’m doing it again...
Thanks again UC.

Prosecutor: "IDENTICAL! That young Trayvon was on top, being pummeled to death by Zimmerman, who was on the bottom, and Trayvon was just trying to get away before Zimmerman chased him down and shot him before his 12th birthday!"
He's comfortable. He got rid of his lawyer, doesn't have anything to hide.
The state doesn't want to get into why Serino "recommended a charge of manslaughter." That is a messy can of worms, more for the state than for Serino.
Serino made up a bogus rationale for a conclusion of manslaughter (could have avoided the outcome of being beaten by a thug by staying in the car) in order to appease Smith and other racist officers in SPD, and to shift heat and attention from being piled onto SPD, to being piled on the state attorney office. He figured the case would die there.
Assuming there may be a few others who, like me, did not follow all the developments in this case in real time, here is a wiki article that may help

I'm sick to my stomach watching GZ side of the story! He's so fu of cheap and knows that TM can't defend himself now. Unfortunately there's only one side of the story now. Look how far is the clubhouse to where the fight happened. GZ walked to far in pursuing him.
He should have stood by the entrance waiting for police and THEN they could have patrolled the area with flashlights. Point blank. And TM had every right to defend himself. And no one can reach for a holster and take a gun so GZ IS FULL OF IT. if he knows so much about guns and security then he would know that TM couldn't easily take his gun away. He's a punk for approaching someone who probably did kick his butt and then shot him. And I too thought that maybe GZ self inflicted himself to show he used self defense!!! He had enough time to think all this through after he shot him and it was dark outside. Ughhh I'm do disgusted. I hope the jurors see all this.

I am with you, I believe Trayvon was on the bottom and used the can to defend him self, that's where those cuts came from, had GZ been on the bottom no way could Trayvon hit him in the back of his head, that's where he had to come up with the side walk story!

Zimmerman is lying. He had his gun out the whole time talking stuff to Trayvon making up what he was going to say the whole time and it is so simple to do. You can take a gun, shoot someone, grab the individual and throw them on top of you with no problem. There are some sick people just itching to shoot others especially if they are prejudice. You are told not to follow but he did it any way knowing he had a gun on him and he was not scared because of this fact.He had Travon screaming saying to him that he was going to die tonight then lied and said Travon said this to him. Nancy you got it right and I know for a fact it happens.

This is the kind of utter lunacy going on out there, folks. It's sad.
I assume that MOM will open by refreshing the memory of the jury as to Serino’s closing words - just in case they missed their full import.
The meme yesterday surrounded he remark that he didn't want to get out of his car when Martin was starting him down because he had fear. He also said he didn't want to confront Martin. Anyway, the question I ask there is "Are you afraid of a person who is running away to evade you?"
That's retarded, sir.
