Oh FFS. Judging contemporary Britain for stuff that happened during the Middle Ages? Your European ancestors are probably just as culpable as mine are, if not more so, because after Cromwell let the Jews back in during the 1650s, most European countries treated their Jews much worse.
Maybe we should still judge America for having chattel slavery up until the 1860s? After all, there are some people still alive who are actually old enough to remember people who were around when slavery was legal in the US.
There is probably a lot more to this story than has been reported here. British customs tend to frown upon foreign visitors trying to enter Britain to work when they haven’t got their paperwork right, even if they are Americans who come from a country that probably isn’t threatening to swamp us with their nationals unlike some countries.
By the way, we had a Jewish Prime Minister as far back as the 1870s, can you imagine a US presidential candidate at the time making it into office? It has yet to happen up until today. The leader of the Opposition, and likely Britain’s next Prime Minister, Ed Miliband is also Jewish. So I reckon we will have a second Jewish PM before the US will have a Jewish Prime Minister.
Oh, and Ed Miliband’s parents were both foreign-born Jewish refugees from the Nazi Holocaust.

Britain is a screwed up country. They throw open their doors to Muzzie terrorists and those advocating slaughter of British innocents (like the recent murder of a British soldier in the cold light of day right out on the street), but deny entry to Jews who have never advocated harm to their precious country. Who needs ‘em? Not me. Let them continue to pander to those who will eventually take over their country and slaughter them in their beds.

I travel A LOT and get harassed by muslims “working” security at border points, including England.
One supervisor saw it happen to me, and kept telling me “sorry” (like 50 times) but didn’t do anything.
