Abbas: Arabs Must Save Jerusalem From 'Settlement Monster'

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas continues to promote the PA libel that Israel is scheming and acting to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, Palestinian Media Watch reported.

In an interview to the Saudi paper Al-Watan, Abbas said that the Arab and Islamic world should become more pro-active in responding to the Israeli “plot”.

"All these [Israeli] actions indicate an evil and dangerous plot to destroy Al-Aqsa [Mosque] and build the alleged Temple,” Abbas said, according to PMW. “Unfortunately, these dangers, which are clear for everyone to see, have yet to receive proper Arab, Islamic and international responses," Abbas said.

Abbas' reference to the "alleged Temple" is part of the language the PA routinely uses to deny Israel's history in Jerusalem, as reported by PMW, and refers to the false PA claim that there never was a Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

Abbas presents taking Jerusalem from Israel as an Islamic mandate. In a speech at the Arab Summit in 2010, Abbas told Arab leaders that taking Jerusalem away from Israel is a religious Islamic obligation of the highest level, a "fard ayn" - a personal Islamic commandment incumbent on every Muslim:

I would approve and support the destruction of the al Aqsa mosque and the construction of the renewed Temple to the true and living God .

Throughout history islam / muslims have always done this ; moved in and killed off prior peoples and cultures and religions . Seizing their holiest places , temples ans shrines and demolishing them , putting up their own so-called shrine ( to islamic insanity) on the very sites . Then they resist and fight to hold on to the results of their own crimes against others , with no apologies or repentance . Throughout the world , only in India has this mosque disease been confronted and old ,vile , muslim mosques built upon prior holy Hindu sites , have been torn down . There's a few beautiful old synagogues in and around NYC that's been converted to mosques so turnabout's fair play.
