Today, June 26th, is DAY #13 (of 3rd week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case. An explosive second day of deconstructed witness testimony took place yesterday. Which leads to the “big question”:
Will witness #8, Rachel Jeantel, be called to the stand today?
[Yesterday could] … only be characterized as an utter debacle for the prosecution in Florida v. Zimmerman. Besides the testimony of a couple of highly professional law enforcement witnesses, the testimony of the the other State witnesses ranged from signing George Zimmerman’s praises, to acknowledging the utility of following a suspicious person from a distance, to being utterly discredited by razor sharp cross-examination of the defense.
Before we even get to the disaster that was the State’s witnesses, however, we first have to discuss this morning’s hearing and the extent to which it evanescent is the State’s case against George Zimmerman. State: Zimmerman Is So Good, He Must Be Bad ............

Rachel's priority #1 appears to be inebriation. The only trip she's taking is a drug addled bender.
Come on....Was Martin not telling her on the phone, Z was something to the effect of some, "Weird nigga cracker? Did she not admit this on the witness stand?
If that is not hostile on Martins part towards Z, nothing is...
And the beauty of it is....the left has been trying to portray Zimmerman as the aggressive racist in this incident..when according to DD’s testimony today, it was Martin that was talking aggressively and being a racist. And he also made it home, which means he doubled back to nail Zimmerman, just as we had surmised.
Bingo.
What’s really hilarious is how the left is portraying today’s testimony as a “win” for the prosecution. It was anything BUT that.
The left, the race baiters, pro big corrupt government types are the deceitful liars from hell..

I’m a psychiatrist and watched the Jeantel testimony today. In my opinion, Jeantel likely wanted to be Martin’s girlfriend – how else to account for the “hundreds” of texts and her presenting herself earlier in the case (to Crump?) as his girlfriend. In addition, her reluctance to speak to Trayvon’s mother is, in my opinion, not fully explained by her aversion to seeing the mother sad and, perhaps, weeping.
Jeantel seems to have a low I.Q. and to have difficulty in understanding the questions posed to her. She also wants to testify in a manner helpful to the prosecution. Accordingly, she answers questions in a fashion which seemed designed to baffle the defense – her answers are vague, strangely worded, and softly spoken. A psychiatrist might wonder whether she has a “thought disorder” – such that her understanding of the questions posed to her (and, therefore, her answers) are fundamentally different from the meaning of the questions as posed by the questioners and different from the commonly understood meanings of such questions.
The only point at which I felt that her behavior was understandable was when she expressed horror at the fact that she would be required to testify tomorrow. That was totally consistent with her statements earlier that she initially wanted no part of the proceedings after Martin died.

Being a witness in court is hard.
I mean that. It is a public speaking forum, but on steroids, and ALLLLLL of us have a fear of public speaking.
In some respects, it is a venue designed to put the hoo-doo on lay people. You have a freaking JUDGE sitting on a raised dais, for crying out loud. And guys with guns all over. It is a very alien place for laymen.
Some people react to their discomfort by showing anger. (I LOVE those!) Some become very quiet and passive. Some, like I read DeeDee, become sullenly passive-aggressive, bouncing between bravado and combativeness and defensiveness.
DeeDee is a liar. It is obviously how she has learned to cope with a life that is probably hard for her to comprehend. But she is not an artful liar, as displayed by her candor in telling the court the things that Martin said.
She was told by the Judge not to discuss the case with ANYONE
Best thing West can do tomorrow is to begin with the slow methodical questioning to get under her skin. When she goes Ghetto, assuming she shows up, he can become her friend by saying OK, just tell us then in your own words what happened then.
Baldy looked a bit sweating again today. He has got to know this is not going well, not so much for what they say for his case during direct but for what they are saying against his case on cross. With DD now we are at game and set....hopefully she gives us the match tomorrow or gets a contempt cite for not trying!
Darn, going to be on the road tomorrow and will miss the best show this side of name entertainment.

That’s what I think. Either that or she was his fence for the hot goods he stole and/or she urged him to confront the “creepy white cracker” following him.
She has a lot of guilt about Trayvon’s death. In fact, I think TM was at his daddy’s house and that’s when GZ and he had the exchange. GZ then took off to meet police and TM chased him. That’s why his body was 70 yds from daddy’s house.

I kept wondering about that when she kept saying that Trayvon said he was at his Daddy's girlfriends house. I knew that Trayvon's body was some ways away so how did he get there.
Not just urbandictionary but J's testimony backs up the [homo]sexual reference. Jeantel stated:
He told me the man was looking at him, so I had to think it might have been a rapist. Might have been a rapist.
[For completeness' sake, the term cracker has also been attributed to denote a person who owns or operates a grist mill to crack corn. There used to be many such grist mills in the deep South.]
Back to the Z trial, if M is describing Z to R as a creepy ass-cracker, then R is defining a potential motive for M to attack Z violently as a gay person or potential gay rapist. IOW, M is prejudiced against gays and predisposed to make derogatory comments about those he thinks might be gay. Perhaps he is predisposed to act on his prejudices and attack someone who he thinks might be gay and might be stalking him for the purpose of obtaining gay sex.
The defense could for example continue to cross examine J and ask her if Z was expressing animosity towards the person allegedly following him as a possibly gay person. Given that R extemporaneously volunteered the term in today's testimony, she might be more than happy to testify further tomorrow, by explaining that her non-boyfriend was a real man and despised gay males.
In the end run, for the defense it's all about reasonable doubt. They might as well take whatever they can get.
