[history]
The Brooklyn EMT who callously refused to help a dying pregnant woman because she was on her coffee break saw her official misconduct charge dropped today after EMS chief Abdo Nahmod who initially supported the case against her flip-flopped, leaving frustrated Brooklyn prosecutors no choice but to dismiss the case.
Melisa Jackson, 27, was in uniform and on-duty when she snuck away from her dispatcher job at FDNY headquarters in downtown Brooklyn in December 2009 to meet her EMT boyfriend in a nearby Au Bon Pain. But when pregnant Eutisha Rennix, 25, had a serious asthma attack, Jackson wouldnt even walk into the back room to look at her.

The arrogant POS dressed like she was going to the clubs when she appeared in court.Holder’s people again. Refuses to apologize or accept any responsibility, the perfect example of what’s wrong with half of the people in this country.

"Holders people again. Refuses to apologize or accept any responsibility, the perfect example of whats wrong with half of the people in this country." Truth be told there's a bit of Ayn Rand at work here as well...no obligation to her fellow man other than that which she freely chooses to incur. She was only striving to satisfy her own needs and wants and clearly, her coffee was more important to her than another person's breath.

We should put her on Obummer’s emergency medical team. Sometimes Barry needs immediate help after catching an STD from a bathhouse trip.

Well as long as she wasn’t drinking a large sugary drink she was probably alright with NYC law.

A few questions - obvious ones - that what passes for a journalist these days failed to mention: she slipped out from her on-duty post for a rendezvous? Isn't that a fireable offense in its own right? She was meeting her EMT boyfriend - what were HIS responsibilities with respect to the victim? What happened to him?
I hope the karma gods are listening.
