A prominent tea party organization is signaling to Republican legislators that they could face primary challenges if they support the comprehensive immigration overhaul being voted on in Congress this week.

“Sixty-four percent of our local coordinators predict primary challengers for those who vote ‘Yes’ on the amnesty bill,” said Jenny Beth Martin, the national coordinator for Tea Party Patriots.

The apparent threat to pro-immigration reform Republicans comes as the Senate appears poised to pass the legislation authored by the Gang of Eight this week.

They may begin with Corker and Alexander here in Tennessee. My feelings will not be hurt.

“I might be wrong but I believe national elections are not subject to recalls!!!”

I wish I could remember where I heard that yesterday but it was not a suspect source. I’ll see if I can chase that down.

You can read about it at the link below. It also says there are recall petitions with the Arizona Secretary of State. If it were illegal to do it in Arizona, I would think there wouldn’t be any with their Secretary of State.

Maybe 5 people in the GOP should remain.

Name them. (I frankly think they should ALL go, whether D or R.)

Like I said I could be wrong but I believe people elected to national offices are governed by federal election laws and there are no provisions for recall elections in federal law. I guess we will find out!!!

I wish I could scream the following from the rooftop, but do not seem to have the ability to make it widely known; “If you control the dialogue, you control the issue”.

RINO’s and libs control gained control of the issue when they, unchallenged - merged the invasion of our southern border into an immigration issue! Understand that, and we can understand how Americans have been duped. THIS WAS NEVER ABOUT IMMIGRATION, but now Obama and his predecessors, ignoring their few actual Constitutional mandates - protecting the USA borders - is magically legitimized as feel good political dogma.

For conservatives to regain the issue, we MUST regain the dialogue! This is ONLY about America being invaded by a foreign country; Mexico. Resolve this invasion alone! If people wish to tweak our immigration policy, then do so separately. Immigration is important - but totally unrelated to what’s happening on our sothern borders!

I agree with you that federal law determines federal elections. Have to wait to see what happens.
