It’s a LoudLabs News reporter’s car, with dashcam and police scanner, doing the turns; Hastings went straight ahead and crashed. Why the reporter made so may turns is a mystery.

That video car made 3 turns!!! HOW DID THEY KNOW WHICH WAY HE WENT???? The Video says it’s 2 minutes after he ran the red light and the video car happened to KNOW which TURNS to take??? Watch the video again, please.

He did NOT go straight ahead....they did 3 turns to come up on the crash site....????
He WASN'T following the speeding car. He heard the call on the scanner and diverted (Oh, $#!t) when he heard the call on the scanner.

but it wasn’t necessary to make that many turns. The speeding car is not that far from the actual crash. Look at how many turns that car makes from where he started.
Hastings crashed on the same road he blew thru the red light on; the reporter made several turns to get there, on the edited tape. There’s is no way Hastings could have made any turns at 100mph.
Another poster Googled the reporter’s route from Google Earth, and named-off the streets/blvds. I can’t find that post, and don’t have the Google Earth software to reproduce it, but it’s on a thread, somewhere. He was familiar with the area.

The driver of the car with the camera pulled out of the lot he was in 2 min. 30 secs. AFTER the car ran the red light.

I can’t understand the scanner conversation, so you’re probably right if you can understand it.
It’s very easy to happen. All you need to do is apply for any number of Federal or local governmental jobs or even for a handgun carry permit and you’re likely to have your prints taken. I’m 70 right now. The first time my prints were taken was when I was 18 and applied for a summer job on a railroad. Then there was the Army, then a carry permit, then another job. Having your prints taken in connection with a criminal matter is only one small way they are likely to be taken.

You can hear the cross streets mentioned”...XXXX and Melrose....” then at about the :40 mark on the video a man’s voice reports the fire, the driver says...”Oh s***” and speeds toward the wreck.
