Can someone help me out with some history?
As I recall, the actual import of slaves from Africa to the USA completely stopped around 1800.
As I recall, the total number of slaves brought to the USA from Africa was about 500,000.
As I recall, about 95% of African slaves were purchased in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Does this mean that obama’s great, great, great, great grandfather was NOT a slave trader? It seems to me that most slaves were sold by black africans to start with.

Many of the slave traders out of west Africa were Muslims, and the slave boats that carried people from west Africa over the Atlantic stopped in the Caribbean. That many of the slaves came from the Caribbean is no surprise, but I can’t give you exact percentages.

You truly don’t think they are going to let facts stop them from writing a story to disparage the Bush’s. This is only to go after Jeb and his potential run.

Somewhere in my lineage I am related to Abraham (of the Old Testament).
What does that say about me?

Heh.
*ALL* of 0bama’s paternal ancestors were slave traders.
The Mohammedan Africans established and ran the African slave trade, and, in fact, they are still running it today.
0bamao’s father was a Mohammedan Arab/African.

One does not need to go back so far to find slave traders in Obama's family tree or slave owners in the genealogy of many other Democrats.
Meanwhile, his grandfather's and father's ample involvement in founding and expanding the United Negro College Fund must count for nothing.

The Bush’s will do business with anyone. Slave traders, nazis, assorted despots, banking crooks, etc. No one can accuse them of being prejudiced in who they’ll transact with.
