I want to read the books in the order they were written, and will start checking around for them. Thanks.

Have to agree with you how dare they let them speak. So anti Rat party mentality.
We have congress. We need to hold on to it. But we need to take over the Senate.
Thanks for the correction. =)....NOT being sarcastic, lol.
It is time to start taking names and posting events like this, and naming people as Enemies of the Constitution. Identify the time, place, and action. Get it on record.
It was a great day. There were two rallies. Actually, one rally and one press conference. The press conference was on East Capitol near the steps and hosted by Steve King. It went from 9-12 and then 2-5. The rally was on the West side on the mall and went for. 12-2.
The press conference probably had 1,000 to 1,500 attend and was a more intimate and casual affair with the crowd able to freely interact with the representatives. Pretty cool, actually. When it started up again at 2 pm after the rally, Glenn Beck got up around 2:15 and gave a few words for 15 minutes or so. At that point, there were only 200-300 there. It was very casual. Michele and Steve were there as well. Around 2:30 or so, the reps had to go for a vote and Beck had to go as well. If you get a chance to see a vid of his remarks at the press conference, it is very much worth the time.
The rally was a pretty good size. For those who were at the 2010 rally quickly organized by Michele Bachmann, it was about that size. I think that one was 25,000. Glenn’s speach was good. Tough. Not pandering and challenging the crowd; at times to awkward silence like when he called them out on Foxxconn and their iPhones. Good stuff. Important. When he finished, I headed over to PA and 2 to grab some food and charge my phone (yes, iPhone)
As I said, a great day. Lots of red meat for tea partiers but also a sense a seriousness and urgency I have not felt before at these rallies.
I tweeted it @pberry1_98

25,000 is a decent turnout for such short notice. That’s good news.
Great after-action report! Thanks for being there for those of us who couldn’t!
I agree with you about the feeling in the crowd. Mostly Medicare-eligible folks attending (as am I), pleasant but serious. Many people wore matching tea shirts proclaiming the names of their local organizations, and they were from many different states. Two people I spoke to were from Texas.
I was delighted to see young people with big signs also. It wasn't only grannies and grandpas, although we are the ones with free time to attend this important event.
Finally getting back to write a report on the Rally and Press Conference and the confusion about them both...
I will do it in several posts so if I lose part of it, not all will be lost!
First to all who have replied to the thread and seemed to want information.
Second: a few names would not be accepted...sorry will try again USS Johnson and penelopeshire,at the end.
The day started so very well. Overcast and a bit threatening but cool and comfortable. I found parking at a meter on the first street away from the capitol. As I walked past the huge pool a beautiful “V” of ducks flew high overhead and I knew it was to be a great event. ( remember that happening just at the start of the Beck event before?)
Lots of tourists were out and the number of PATRIOTS working their way toward the capitol was evident by their HAND MADE signs and many YELLOW flags. The entrance to the West Side of the Capitol was already crowded with early arrivals who had chairs and blankets and had obviously set themselves up for a great day!

There were 2 events. The early and late ones were on the East and were NOT part of the permit area.
That was called by the members of congress led by Steve King and Michelle Bachman and was before and after the Patriot Rally called AUDIT THE IRS which had a permit for the WEST side of the Building.
There is an aerial picture and some others here on this thread. This is the EAST side and shows the small crowd that attended. They did all come around the building by about 12:15 and added to the the growing crowd there.
Pictures that show the Washington Monument in the background or the huge stairways up the Capitol are taken of the much larger WEST side crowd!
I chose to stay and socialize with the people waiting for the noon start of the Rally.
Fourth:
What wonderful people there were there from all over the country. Yes, mostly mature ones, but a few families and many students. ( School is out here)
I was soon meeting folks who had bussed all night to arrive on time. Many drove from surrounding states too.
The group who all had glasses and fake noses with their signs about not wanting to be audited were busy having pictures taken and showing their signs to all who noticed them.
As always with these groups the courtesy and kindness to anyone with special needs is evident. Sharing chairs, blankets and water with strangers was evident. This time I brought homemade earrings (red white and blue crystal, of course,) and homemade chocolate chip cookies for the guys.
There seemed to be a bit of a change in attitude this event. People expressed more fear of government and concern for the nation. conversations were subdued and often hear was the comment, “ Can you talk freely anywhere else, anymore” answer: “NO not even within the family.”
Looking forward to your report! God bless all of you who are actively standing up for freedom and America!
