Men's Wearhouse executive chairman George Zimmer has been "terminated," the clothing retailer said on Wednesday.
Zimmer opened the company's first store in Houston in 1973. He's been the bearded face of Men's Wearhouse (MW) in television ads for years, famously promising men "You're going to like the way you look. I guarantee it."

“Seriously? Didn’t they trash one of his stores someplace? LOL! “
Yes, and he had put up a sign, “We stand with the 99%” or some such rot, in the store window.
Stockholm Syndrome. Please, sir, may I have another.
"It is Zimmer's policy that no employee or interviewee will ever undergo a criminal background check. ...
"I don't trust the U.S. justice system to get it right," says Zimmer, who is himself a recovering alcoholic. "I'd rather make my own decisions, and I believe in giving people a second chance." - link
Department store prices without the department store.
Overpriced and piss poor quality and accessories that were 75% less ANYWHERE else.
I wasn't aware of the political crap, but the last 2 times I needed suits, I got them from a MW. I HATE shopping for clothes, especially dress clothes, and always had a good experience. Their service was second to none. In fact, one time I needed a suit for a funeral that was NOT expected, and I bought the suit about 14 hours before the funeral on a Saturday morning. The suit needed alterations and they got it done for me with some time to spare.

I agree with you, Mark. That’s been my experience as well. Needed some clothing for an upcoming cruise, and not only did I get the clothes, but the tailoring, too.
Probably the REASON he was fired.
Similar to JC Penney. He forgot that he just sells clothes, got into culture based politics, chose a side and paid the price.
An “O” supporter doesn’t trust the justice system?

I’ll always remember him as the 71 year old Pedro Martinez threw to the ground in the ALCS.
I am not surprised, he is losing his voice.
Guess not!
Not sorry to see him go.
Wow. Well that’s what he gets for taking the company public.
If he’s such a liberal then I wish him bad luck.
His wikipedia article says he funded research into therapeutic uses for ecstasy.
LOL!
” If hes such a liberal then I wish him bad luck.”
He still has 800 million left, to give to left wingers.
Remember this?
