To think it only took the world's most (in)famous whistleblower to get the NSA to disclose that it had heroically managed to prevent terrorist attacks involving the New York Stock Exchange (we supposed they refer to the Manhattan-based TV studio and not the actual exchange where the servers are now housed in Mahwah, NJ) and the NY Subway. Because whereas there was a time in the past when the various US secret services would scurry at the opportunity to disclose their expertise to the general public, now it is a false negative that is supposed to disprove a positive (pervasive spying on the US population is good for you because...). Of course it takes one non-false positive to disprove a false negative, namely the Boston Bombers, who as far as we recall, used cell phones to communicate. But so much for details: now please praise the NSA, and also comply with the Administration's push to rescind the second amendment. Or is Obama no longer pushing for "arms control"?
National Security Agency surveillance programs helped disrupt plots to bomb the New York Stock Exchange and the New York subway system, an FBI official told Congress on Tuesday.The official, Deputy Director Sean Joyce, said that the programs also linked an American citizen in Chicago to the 2008 terror attacks on hotels in India and to a plot to bomb the offices of a Danish newspaper that published a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad.
Gen. Keith Alexander, the NSA director, told the committee that the programs had helped stop more than 50 “potential terrorist events” since the Sept. 11 attacks. He said he would provide classified details of all of them to the committee Wednesday.
“I would much rather be here today debating this point than trying to explain how we failed to prevent another 9/11,” Alexander said.
Joyce gave limited details on the foiled plots. In the stock exchange plot, he said, the NSA monitored an extremist in Yemen who was in contact with an operative in the United States.
In the subway plot, he said, the NSA intercepted an email from a terrorist in Pakistan in 2009 who was talking with someone in the United States about perfecting a recipe for explosives. He said that person turned out to be Najibullah Zazi, who later pleaded guilty in the plot and is in federal prison.
Well, heck, why stop with the NSA hoovering up all that data. Let's allow cops to search any car or home they want. Plant tracking mechanisms in our arms.

The bureaucratic solution to all problems is to punish the innocent. This is an inviolate truism.
There is another alternative, and that is infiltrate groups (dog-whistle: “muslim” groups), gather real intelligence, and go after those we know are the mayor perpetrators. Over and over it has been demonstrated that humint is superior to technology in this kind of arena.
I would rather face a little more danger and have some semblance remain of my rights as a law-abiding citizen.
Just listen to the generation following us....and the ones coming...they haven't a clue about the Constitution and if they do they are twisting it to accomodate the NWO just the
same....
Our politicians are following as well...and our banking industry etc.etc. etc. D you not question why they don't get it when we cry out? They do get it...they just know it's not really part of the plan.
Our out of control Gov. will eventually be as we never would have imagined before...we're just seeing the beginnings and trying to stop it...that's why I have said we have got to let our true representatives have room to maneuver when they get to Washington....because the game board is no longer the Sovernity of our country...it's the Global Agenda and what this country brings to that table.

Obama said he was going to change the face of this country...we warned everybody, twice over no less! The fact is he has the wheel and will take this nation forward as he sees fit..
How much opposition do we see from our guys?....little. Why does Washington change them? Because once they’re there they have the Big Picture/ Reality check, and if they aren’t allowed to play on that gameboard...make some concessions to get their foothold...you can be sure, with certainty, the stronghold which is already in place will never be broken.
With the American public there is never ever satisfaction.

Actually, the Democrats were upset when we spied on Americans who were suspected of communicating with foreign terrorists. I now have my doubts about that too. I don’t trust any of them anymore.
