Just a question to all Freepers: It is clear that the central planners for years have created this Federal Leviathan that is neither practical and is also restraining on our Constitutional rights. So my question is: How do we in essence (either through public relations, pulling the "right strings", changing laws to cause them to effect one another so as to reverse our large Government)?
How do we in essence reverse engineer the Federal Government and all the onerous laws? (This is a discussion thread): AND I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANY DEFEATISM like "It can't be done".
Agree.
It's in God's hands now. Even after being warned for millennia, we still continue to mess things up.
You might want to go back to the drawing board. Bush, 43, wanted to allow people to control a mere 2% of their retirement by putting their SSA money into stocks. It was overwhelmingly rejected by younger voters who believed what the leftists told them that their money would be stolen.
Also, you can't reverse engineer the federal leviathan in a way that someone won't get hurt and lose something - be it welfare, SS, disability, Obamaphone, etc. There's no way to break this elephant down into smaller parts and walk away with a win-win.
No more free rides for politicians, no more exempting themselves from every law they foist on us
No more laws placing drones in the skies to take out Americans
No more unfettered spying on every American
No more assclown politicians who think that making them fall under Obamacare is UNFAIR! Are you f'en kidding me.
No more NDAA BS laws that apply to Americans, without judicial review
If that happens, just maybe.... but buy ammo, and prepare to take the country away from crooked cops, judges, politicians.
Every ill this country faces can be laid at their feet.
Gen. Mattis said is correctly: Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill every one you meet.
LOVE 1.1
God does not have any grandchildren. Everyone must personally say no or yes. Talking about millennia is simply meaningless.
You missed my meaning. I was speaking of the human race as a whole, unable to learn from history (or warnings in scripture), repeating the same mistakes and entering the same cycle, over and over.
Except this time, it may be worse than any other from the beginning of the world until now, nor ever shall be in the future - borrowing the Messiah's words.
Why of course it can’t and nobody would believe it could if it tried its, er, damndest. One of the hardest errors to uproot is the idea that if we just tried hard enough we could improve our own act and it would be a Good World. No we couldn’t; we’d just sin harder and in different ways. We have to love our way back and it begins by accepting a love that we never initiated ourselves.
Easier said than done, obviously. :) Not sure what's irritating you, but sincerly hope tomorrow is a better day for you.
Great tagline...I do so through out the day ;)
When you answer that question you can begin to set priorities -- to figure out what it is that bothers you most -- and then you enter the real world of politics, which means setting priorities, making choices, solving problems, rather than simply wishing your way back to some earlier state of affairs, that may or may not be any better than what we have now.
What “irritates” me is that Christians often carry in the back of their mind a picture of the fundamentally impossible when critiquing humanity... the couldas, shouldas, wouldas. This is at root an appeal to self pride. Self pride can only do one thing and it’s to fail miserably.
And in a way it’s difficult and in a way it’s easy!
It involves the pride busting process of giving up, both on the prideful efforts and upon the mistaken value systems that encouraged the pride. The second thing is less intuitive because we’ve grown up from birth in pride.
There’s a reason why the whores got into heaven quicker than the Pharisees.
