On Wednesdays Hannity on the Fox News Channel, commentator Ann Coulter doubled down on the headline of her latest column by calling Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio the Jack Kevorkian of the GOP.
Asked by host Sean Hannity whether she was for real in her article If the GOP is this stupid, it deserves to die, the conservative firebrand proudly owned the column.
Yes, thats the headline of my excellent column this week, which I highly recommend everyone read, Coulter said. Its just you talk about Chuck Schumer. Well, Chuck Schumer is playing Marco Rubio, the Jack Kevorkian of the Republican Party. If this amnesty bill goes through and it is amnesty step one, is legalization. Everything after that, all the triggers to citizenship are phony triggers. There doesnt have to be a fence. There doesnt have to be E-verify. There just has to be Department of Homeland Security assuring us they have a plan.
Hannity contested Coulters assumption that border security would come before legalization, citing an interview he had with the Florida senator on his radio show earlier in the day. Coulter, the author of Mugged: Racial Demagoguery from the Seventies to Obama, dismissed Rubios claim and cited Schumers own preference for legalization over enforcement.
Hannity presented a hypothetical that has been floated about splitting the Senate version of the immigration bill in the House and having two separate votes one on border enforcement and another on so-called legalization. That led to a back-and-forth between the two conservative opinion leaders.
HANNITY: Lets say for example we can bifurcate the bill and control the border first what would Ann Coulter do with the 11 million people who did not respect the laws and sovereignty and came here legally?
COULTER: This is a total fraud and a fig leaf that American people cant sleep at night because the situation is the exactly the same today as it was in 1987.
HANNITY: Youre not answering my question.
COULTER: Its been 20 years
HANNITY: Youre like a liberal
COULTER: No, nothing
HANNITY: Youre not answering my question. COULTER: To the contrary, you are like a liberal making a silly argument.
HANNITY: Im teasing.
COULTER: Its a straw-man argument. Nobody cares.
HANNITY: Hang on.
COULTER: This idea that its an emergency, its a crisis is preposterous.
HANNITY: Ann, hang on a second..
COULTER: The same thing will happen thats happening now.
HANNITY: No. what Im arguing you is if we dont secure our border, we have major national security problem.
COULTER: Yeah.
HANNITY: Im asking you because the House is talking about bifurcating the two provisions. Control the border
COULTER: That would be a disaster.
HANNITY: get it totally secure, verified, secure 100 percent. Then, if that happened and its hypothetical, what would you do with the 11 million people after? Coulter remained steadfast on the idea that splitting the bill would be a disaster.
Then wed have this other bill, Coulter replied. OK, in the abstract, that would be a fine idea. First we request 100 percent enforcement of E-verify 100 percent. They could do that now. If the Congress were serious about enforcing the border, they would demand enforcement of E-verify now. They would build the fence right now. The fence is not some new technology. Its been around since the middle ages. But at this point, because of the House and these Jack Kevorkians of the Republican Party like Kelly Ayotte, who I hope gets a primary opponent, and Marco Rubio, who I hope gets a primary opponent, and the rest of them, theyre going to pass an amnesty bill. If the House passes anything this very important, Hannity viewers, so pay attention here if the House does nothing but say, enforce E-verify, it goes into the conference between the two bodies and it will come out an amnesty bill. At that point if its voted on in the House and in the Senate, we have amnesty. The country is over and the only thing we have left for me and you to do, Sean, is to punish the people who destroyed America.
AC has been out of style here for more than a year.
Grow up and get with the program.
I give as good as I get.
Hahahahahahaha!
Fools like you are a dime a dozen these days.
FR has been heavily infiltrated, and I seem to attract these idiots far more than the others who share my views within the same thread, and their derogatory, insulting, condescending horseclinton all sound alike.
Many many people have graduated from many different Ivy League colleges, and have written "best-sellers". Quite a few are liberal democrats currently in public office who are working overtime to destroy America as it was. Hell, Obozo was given the Nobel! None of that makes Ann Coulter some sort of god, or the end-all-be-all of policy making in America. Ann did as much damage to America during the 2012 Presidential election as did anyone else.
Better than I said, thanks.
So what does Ann think about Christie’s take on the subject? Rubio has spent all of the goodwill capital conservatives had for him, and we need to send Christie packing as well.
After Ann’s support of Christie Cream, I just can’t fathom how anyone takes anything Coulter says today seriously.
That did it for me, too, although I wasn’t wild to find out she only does leftist freaks either.
I have been frustrated with Ayn and her Christie love affair, but she was on fire and on the money.
It truly will be the end of our Republic. It will be checkmate -- the transformation to a Socialist third world sewer will be unstoppable.
Hannity is a clueless, low IQ dolt.
Levin has definitely cooled to Rubio. Did you hear Levin's show last night? He was absolutely on fire. He truly sees the destructiveness of this bill.
I have nothing but contempt for Hannity. He is a low-IQ fool. He doesn't have the intellectually ability to understand just how destructive this evil immigration bill will be to this Republic.
Hannity will smile as his pal Rubio and others destroy this Republic.
The longer I carry a grudge, I find the heavier it gets.
But she’s on double-secret probation .....
None of that makes Ann Coulter some sort of god...
...I imagine very few people actually think she is, including herself...
Ann did as much damage to America during the 2012 Presidential election as did anyone else...
...really? and how did she do all this damage? By voting for the only candidate with a snowball’s chance in hell of beating Obama, and urging that others do so as well? If that’s causing the country damage, enough people voting Romney to land him 206 EV’s are equally guilty...is that an argument you really want to make?...
Am I to assume you didn’t hear much of Ann during the election? She was all over the map with her diatribe. Plus, her fawning over Christie Cream! She didn’t do Romney any favors through any statements she made, and, in fact, did a lot of damage to his campaign. The woman needs to stick to what she does best - writing books - and stay the hell off of the talking-heads news programs.
Love the Graphics!
Maybe Annie has finally falling out of love with NE Republican thought.
Sure hope so!
Jack Kevorkian of the Republican Party

Coulter is annoying, lying harpie, but that is a good one. And so true.
Anns back! Finally.

Oh, yeah, we can all trust her again now. /s

Bravo. Sometimes Coulter is completely off the boards (e.g., supporting Doughnut Boy). But she is hitting on all cylinders on immigration and was giving it to Hannity with both barrels.
Good work, Coulter.
Perhaps the NSA has acquired some info on Rubio as well?
She said a while back that she was a one-issue voter now: on stopping the illegals and not passing another disastrous amnesty bill.
Americans are out of work, yet the politicians want to cater to those who would taken even more jobs from us.
