This little item could give the IRS whole targeting conservatives scandal a brand-new twist.
Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.) tweeted that he observed IRS agents training with AR-15s when he toured the Department of Homeland Security:
A few weeks ago when I toured a DHS facility I saw #IRS agents training with AR-15's. I'm looking into the issue now. #PJNET

Well played, well played!!
Hee hee.
It is difficult to tell the difference between an M-16 / M4 and an AR-15 unless you can see the selector switch/safety up close. My guess is that Government employees/LEO's would have the mil-spec versions.
The Honorable Jeff Duncan is a civilian and is probably more familiar with the firearms which are available at his local gun shop, the AR-15. Truthfully, they all qualify as AR-15 variants, some with select fire, others without.
Yeah, I would think they were actually a colt M4 or some other fully automatic carbine.
IRS has had armed agents since at least the 1970s.
They should be afraid.Be VERY afraid !
Slide fire on an AR 15 trumps a three round burst on M16.
What use could they have for those?
TBP ~:” What use could they have for those?”
Squirrel hunting opens on April 16th !
Also , the 104mm Howittzers were already taken by DHS

Good for them. They will run through their ammo quickly while those who are trained and keep their heads will be able to quickly defeat them.
“I guess they are going to drop all pretense, and just KILL conservatives now....”
Not quite, Mr. Banker. The second and most important question must be raised: Can these fat, desk-bound slobs hit the broadside of a barn?
A very easy, simple step for the next Republican congress should be to bar non-police and non-intelligence federal agencies from stockpiling weapons or having tactical teams.
If they need some to enforce the law, they should contact one of the 100+ federal police agencies that would perform these duties for them.
The noteworthy example of this nonsense was when the Department of Education sent its SWAT team to raid the home of an education aid fraud suspect. They raided the home where her ex-husband and children lived, but she had not, for over six months.
Since these agencies have not had the authority to order weapons and tactical equipment, nor set up tactical teams, for very long, they would not realistically suffer losing them.
And it would be remarkably easy legislation for congress to pass. One of a thousand or more to put the US back on track.
Obama will read about this in the newspaper and be “shocked”
Agreed, but the IRS is just one of the many 3 letter agencies who will be this private civilian army that "O" boasted that he needed and wanted to be just as well trained and equipped as the Military to do his bidding (his version of Hitler's Brown Shirts). If this man and all of his appointed minions are not removed from office he will have his way.
Ah but he again will not be seen as the aggressor. He will not strike first. He will wait, cause pain and distress and cause the people to make the move he wants. All that has happened lately is just part of the plan. Perhaps I am wrong...I do hope that I am!
Now you know where all those billions and billions of hollow point bullets are going for. To train to kill citizens. Why else would they have them. WHY does clerks in a bunch of offices NEED AR15s???????????????????? To murder citizens with. That is why.
If you don’t know, Civil Service rules allows an LEO to retire after 25 years of service. That is why a lot of the Gov’t unions push to classify the agency’s with LEO designation. I worked for the Defense investigative Service in the mid eighties, (security background investigations), and there was a push to attempt to make us LEO designated. Eventually they split off a criminal side of the DIS to accommodate it.
It’s all about higher pay scales and early retirements. It has nothing to do with threats of violence to the employees.
Don’t they need to be armed because they deal with people’s money?
