The CIA’s deputy director plans to resign and will be replaced by White House lawyer and agency outsider Avril D. Haines, Director John O. Brennan said Wednesday. Haines, who will succeed career officer Michael Morell on Aug. 9, has served for three years as President Obama’s deputy counsel in charge of national security issues and as legal adviser to the National Security Council. Although she has never worked inside the intelligence agency, “she knows more about covert action than anyone in the U.S. government outside of the CIA,” Brennan said in an interview.

Intel lawyering up.

Gonna set up to go in “hibernation” mode.

Wait a few years for scandal to blow over.

Most worried about keeping their gigantic spy center in Utah.

Scrambling to fix the bad PR.

The financial oligarchs must really get annoyed as they run America, where still quite a few people get upset when government spies seize their phone bill every month.

(from the article):” Although she has never worked inside the intelligence agency, “she knows more about covert action than anyone in the U.S. government outside of the CIA,” Brennan said in an interview.”

rightwingintelligentsia :” Just what we need. Another Obama-appointed political hack in a sensitive national security position. “

I’ll bet this is an appointment suggested by Valerie Jarrett .
Since as White House Counsel, she has had unlimited access to the Pres__ent and his Chief of Staff .
The Pres__ent inner circle is getting smaller and smaller, and more personally committed to him,.. and “the agenda” .
More importantly , she knows how to keep Zippey legally distanced in the area of “Plausable Deniability”.

“After we win this election, it’s our turn. Payback time. Everyone not with us is against us and they better be ready because we don’t forget.
The ones who helped us will be rewarded, the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve.
There is going to be hell to pay.” —Valerie Jarrett

Another political hack in a national security position is their M.O.

The Obama gang is turning national security into political security. They are using resources designed to protect our country from foreign threats into agencies to persecute their internal political enemies.
And even as the news of this comes out, they show no remorse and are doubling down.

For the dims this is all about game match and set while the repubs are sitting on their hands and some are actually cooperating with them.

-——covert action——

she covertly oversaw the finding and obtaining countless sealed divorce decrees and other documents used to destroy political opposition. She oversaw the covert operations that did in the sitting governor of Illinois.

She oversaw the covert operations to supply Candy Crowley with date to be used to corrupt the presidential debate.

Avril Haines — Haines focuses on national security, a portfolio Ruemmler describes as “a huge basket of issues.” She’s also legal adviser to the National Security Council.

Well replacing him with a Whitehouse lawyer will take care of everything. We should all feel better now.

Exactly what the heck does a lawyer have to do with security, military, or basically anything outside the realm of legal matters?

“Just what we need. Another Obama-appointed political hack in a sensitive national security position.”

I don't think there is anyone outside of Obama’s limited circle that he is willing to work with. The most inbred administration ever!
