We arent communist?
When the obvious is obvious, why is it that there are those who cant seem to see the obvious? Strange metaphor is it not? That we in this nation have those who cant see this obvious scenario that this nation is as communist as any that has ever been, or will ever be!
Perhaps its our identification of what we use as the yard stick to measure what is a communist government?
When we look at the definition of communism, it is obvious that it had never existed, will not ever exist, and cannot exist as it is defined. Communism is a revolutionary socialist movement to create a classless, moneyless and stateless social order structured upon common ownership of the means of production as well as a social, political and economic ideology that aims at establishing this order.
Is it not interesting that the failure of communism is defined in the very first identification of this ideology? Why is the word revolutionary so prominent?
The answer is simple reallyfor in fact communism is based on the oldest of human actionstheft. This is the why it must be a revolution of taking that from a society that has productive capacityas communism is not the ideology of the beginning for it produces nothing as the literate history of mankind has proven.
There is no more one need to know of communism. The basis of this dementia and the results are all based in this simple reality.
One thing about communism is that reality is never part of the evaluation. Take a moment to think of this; movement to create a classless, moneyless and stateless social order structured upon common ownership of the means of production as well as a social, political and economic ideology that aims at establishing this order.....

No.
Eurasia has Communism - we in Oceania have Ingsoc, a far superior ideology.
The key words there are "upon common ownership of the means of production". By that definition Soviet Russia really was communist. China is still mostly communist. And America is not communist but we have moved slightly in that direction.

America is and has been fascist for many years.
Communism requires “ownership” of everything. Fascism only control of it - regulation of every stupid thing.
We are there. Communism is the next step.
Dude knows nothing about Communism. America has become a corporatist state, yes, something similar to Italian fascism (or in the FR parlance ‘facism’.) Private industry heavily regulated and much dependent on the central government.
I prefer the term MarxoFascists - because I think that describes the tyranny we currently exist in a little more accurately.
We’re not? I can’t say I’d noticed.

Of course there are elements of fascism present in America, but the federal government has adopted several central planks of the Communist Manifesto, such as the progressive income tax, inheritance taxes, and fractional reserve banking, to name only a few.
While there is obviously plenty of corporate welfare and illegitimate influence on a bloated government bureaucracy, to assert that the USA is not slipping further and further into Marxist/Communist Tyranny is to miss much of the picture.
To me, blaming "corporatism" and ignoring the authoritarian collectivism is a little too convenient, and seems instead like an oblique attack on capitalism in general.
Those are central planks of the Communist manifesto? Supporting quotes from it, please!
I prefer the other logo - more accurate in post #7
The more we scream “COMMUNISM” “FASCISM”, “NAZISM”, the less credibility we have!
Yeah, even though it’s true, right?
oligarchical socialism?!
Yawn. Just offhand, from http://www.libertyzone.com/Communist-Manifesto-Planks.html
Karl Marx describes in his communist manifesto, the ten steps necessary to destroy a free enterprise system and replace it with a system of omnipotent government power, so as to effect a communist socialist state. Those ten steps are known as the Ten Planks of The Communist Manifesto The following brief presents the original ten planks within the Communist Manifesto written by Karl Marx in 1848, along with the American adopted counterpart for each of the planks. From comparison it's clear MOST Americans have by myths, fraud and deception under the color of law by their own politicians in both the Republican and Democratic and parties, been transformed into Communists. For the remaining planks, which should also seem very familiar to any American, just go to that page. America has adopted its own apple pie versions of virtually every tenet of Communism.Another thing to remember, Karl Marx in creating the Communist Manifesto designed these planks AS A TEST to determine whether a society has become communist or not. If they are all in effect and in force, then the people ARE practicing communists.
Communism, by any other name is still communism, and is VERY VERY destructive to the individual and to the society!!
The 10 PLANKS stated in the Communist Manifesto and some of their American counterparts are...
...
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax. Americans know this as misapplication of the 16th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, 1913, The Social Security Act of 1936.; Joint House Resolution 192 of 1933; and various State "income" taxes. We call it "paying your fair share".
3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance. Americans call it Federal & State estate Tax (1916); or reformed Probate Laws, and limited inheritance via arbitrary inheritance tax statutes.
...
5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
Americans call it the Federal Reserve which is a privately-owned credit/debt system allowed by the Federal Reserve act of 1913. All local banks are members of the Fed system, and are regulated by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) another privately-owned corporation. The Federal Reserve Banks issue Fiat Paper Money and practice economically destructive fractional reserve banking.
...
Do changing words, change the end result? ... By using different words, is it all of a sudden OK to ignore or violate the provisions or intent of the Constitution of the united States of America?????
You don't know that Communism calls for a progressive income tax? For confiscatory inheritance taxes? For a central banking system that can loan money to the government on request, in order to engage in deficit spending? For a compulsory public education system in order to indoctrinate the youth?
Fascism can function quite smoothly against the backdrop of Communist/Socialist/Marxist state policy (whatever you'd like to call it.)
I asked for quotes from the Communist Manifesto itself, not from self-serving interpretations of it.
It is fascism. Why call it something else?.
“The more we scream COMMUNISM FASCISM, NAZISM, the less credibility we have!”

I disagree. While the USA is not Communist as in the previous
Communist countries of Europe, it is like the frog put in the pot of cool water, but over a slow fire.
Sadly, the country is probably past the point of no return. America will become the USSA.
By the way, I did spend eight years in post Communist central Europe. I saw the scars from the past.
There are certain characteristics of the Communist societies in Europe and elsewhere that this country’s system doesn’t share. I won’t list them, because there is plenty of literature about it. Using the word ‘Communism’ as a scare tactic is ignorant and ineffectual, and offensive to those who suffered under Communism, but yes, the country is moving in the direction of some liberal Communism like Tito’s Yugoslavia, or Mussolini’s fascism. We’re not there yet, still the chummy relationship between the industry and the government is what if not something called ‘corporatism’? Who’s Apple’s biggest customer? Procter and Gamble’s? Etc.
