Two prominent civil rights groups have filed a lawsuit against the National Security Agency over its program that reportedly collects the telephone records of millions of American customers of Verizon.
The American Civil Liberties Union and the New York Civil Liberties Union say in a lawsuit filed in federal court Tuesday that the program violates First Amendment rights of free speech and association. It also alleges the program violates Fourth Amendment rights to privacy.
The lawsuit additionally alleges the government's program exceeds Congress' authority.

Yes, on a positive note, it’s kinda nice to have an issue as vital as this to see who really gives a damn about their freedom. I can’t in good conscience ever rejoin the ACLU, but at least they cherish this freedom.

How will the MSM continue to support the Obama regime? Will they ignore/downplay? There are now so many scandals in play that it’s difficult to keep track.
We actually need some kind of scorecard. When this is over even if Obama keeps the presidency...and that’s in real doubt...he will go down in history as one of the worst presidents. Maybe after he resigns...some in the press will begin to look into his very mysterious early life...it’s a hope anyway.

But the ACLU is correct far less often than that. Politics really does make strange bedfellows.
It’s about time! This usually is a rallying cry from the left before anyone else so hopefully they will jump on board this time. Oddly enough I agree with the ACLU in this one
